it's amazing that most people (my hands up) were picking us for the 8 last year on the basis of our 'great signings". this year no one gives us a chance yet we have a better list than the same time last year. is it because the media hyped up blight and have crucified thomas that we believe we are no chance this year.
softly softly someone might hear us.
get *****d, go you sainters.

Well said STL, I was thinking the same thing the other day.
I wouldn't swap our current list with quite a few other teams. If our top players can stay injury free and have good seasons and a few of the draftees develop quickly, I reckon the difference between us making or not making the eight will come from the players like Hayes, Beetham, Moyle, Baker, Blake, Milne and Begley. The types of players who have heaps of potential and should be ready to take the next step in their careers.
My membership package arrived last week, the tennis is almost over, season 2002 is nearly here!

I think we've got a pretty underachieving list to say the truth but that probably goes hand in hand with the coach and instability at the club...
If we can keep things stable, no injuries, etc... than I see no reason why we wouldn't make the final 8... :D :D

I'm actually quite surprised at the number of people on the main board who has put us in the 8.
I personally don't think we will, but we will show significant improvement on the last 2 years. A lot depends on Spider. If he dominates, and Harves cames back very well (which is not a given) then we are a chance.
I doubt very much we'll finish in the bottom 4, unless Thomas proves not up to it. 9-12 is where I reckon.
