Great hit, if taken to tribuneral essendon could argue that it wasnt a clenched fist that hit him. And could also argue that he was acting in self defense as he had to fremantle scums all over him, although i rekkon he was winning the fight anyway.

ITs good to see him sticking up for Andrew Lee.

Highlight of the year so far....lol

well done NLM:thumbsu: :thumbsu: :thumbsu:

Lovett got three. NLM should get six.

But Simpson got off, Farmer only got one.

How would you know?

Pick a card, any card.

If NLM gets 3 or 4, how many does Kerr get for ruining Sam Mitchell's family aspirations with a punch to the nuts.

Probably 6.

Carr sits down to have a pi*s anyway, so the punch wasn't that great.

Good hit, but looks bad. Probably 4 or 5, but as Longy already said "pick a card". The tribunal system is a complete joke!

Which begs the question, why go to the effort of opening the thread, having a read and making a comment?

Unfortunately I think he'll get 6 weeks.

The Tribunal won't tolerate incidents like that.

Sheedy will murder him on the track.

Lovett-Murray can accept a three match suspension with an early plea after being charged with a level five striking offence on Fremantle's Matthew Carr.

The incident was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), medium impact (two points), behind play (one point) and high contact (two points) - equating to 425 points or a four match ban, which increased to 518.75 points and a five-match ban because of his past record.

But if he accepts the charge that penalty will be reduced to 389.06 points and a three match ban.

Lovett-Murray to miss three
Monday, July 10, 2006
Nathan Lovett-Murray will plead guilty to a charge of striking Fremantle’s Matthew Carr and will miss the next three games. Lovett-Murray struck Carr in the first quarter of last weekend’s game and was reported by two umpires. The match review panel ruled the contact was intentional, medium impact, behind the play and high.

This added up to a total of eight activation points making it a level five offence which equates to 425 points and a four-match suspension. However Lovett-Murray had 93.75 residual points which increased his penalty to 518.75 points and a five-match suspension. An early plea reduces his penalty by 25% and 389.06 points which equates to a three-match suspension.
