Vic Metro had 6 bottom age players in their side this year, of which four are from Northern. Last year's U/16s championships was won by Vic Metro and Vic Country also have some very good bottom age players also, with a few getting AIS Scholarships last year. So next years draft also looks to be very strong, but quite a few will be picked up this year I'd say.

I agree King Carey....
Metro hopefully will have a few drafted this year i kept a close eye on them....of those 6 bottom agers Krezuar,Grimes,Currie,Vespremi,Prismall,Everitt only 3 are draftable this year i have noticed:

Including DAN CURRIE who can be a superstar, just need more game time
Everitt had a good carnival, just has all the ability to be a superstar
Prismall was the decoy for hawkins i believe reading from other threads and didnt get a big chance to provre himself

p.s Players only

Big Ben McEvoy showed that he had it and gave Leunenberger a reality check in the ruck too.

Metro did have some exciting bottom agers and Prismall is one of them. He has had a very good season in the TAC Cup with the Jets, and carried this blistering form into game 1 against SA, but he appeared to get a lack of opportunities Vs WA and then was unlucky in missing out and wasn't a 'player only' against Country. Rhyce Prismall will be a name for a future I'm predicting though!

As much as it hurts me to say being an old College Boy - but Nick Suban will be an absolute star in 2006 for St Pats and the North Ballarat Rebels.

He could be a top 10 draft pick - he is that good.

Pat Veszpremi.. All Australian this year and can't be drafted.
Brett Meredith from Northern, would have made Metro this year but didn't due to a knee injury.
Matt Suckling from Sandringham. Unlucky to miss out on Metro this year but will have a massive impact next year.

Sandilands at Oakleigh. 190cm, a few B.O.G performances, often listed in the midfield (not as ruck).

Sandilands ended the APS school season as a rising star; he kept Tom Hawkins and Chris Dawes (two future AFL big men) quiet - and each on two separate occasions. He will be a good bet for Vic Metro in 2007.

Or maybe he'll just get drafted.
