Jones anticipant
England paceman Simon Jones will discover at the end of the month whether he will be fit in time for this winter's Ashes series.
The 27-year-old, who played a key part in the Ashes success of last summer, has undergone keyhole surgery on his left knee and is having two sessions a day in an oxygen tent in a bid to hasten his recovery.
He will meet with medical experts at the end of July and the outcome of that meeting could dictate whether he is part of the travelling party for Australia.
His physio at county side Glamorgan Chris Towers told the Sunday Mirror: "Simon is doing well and feels he's on schedule to be fit. But we have to be cautious and see what the surgeon says.
"We have a check-up in a couple of weeks to see how he's progressing. Fingers crossed, there won't be any setbacks."
