Saqlain Mushtaq would be my pick.

I'm glad the Aussies dont use one anymore. The batsman are best equipped to bat in the most difficult times, not the bowlers!!

Nightwatchmen aren't used much anymore. I'm not sure about there being too many tactical changes causing it, I think it's mroe to do with the fact that most employments of nightwatchmen in recent years have been failures.

Saqlain is possibly the best of the current crop. Henderson looks handy but has only played a handful of Tests, so to say he is the best in the world would be premature. Gillespie is very ordinary - I think his batting has slipped in the last two years.

I'd say it would be Mark Boucher he has done it before for South Africa and then gone on to make 100s the next day.

I think Alex Tudor also got 99 after being night watchman for Englnad.
