View Full Version : More stupid a waste than the $75K missile
An aboriginal elder is taking a police commissioner to court for putting out a sacred fire that was lit in front of parliament house last year. They seek to have the commissioner bound over to aboriginal justice in which he is 'speared' to death.
As it is the ALS who are funding the action (which the public pays for) and the taxpayer pays for the courts costs and the police commisioners costs we should expect a taxpayers funding of around $300K minimum. So thats 4 missiles worth
its good to see that taxpayers money is well spent

if they think that they are going to be allowed to spear him to death then they must be dreaming.
also, arent they being put up on theft charges for supposedly stealing the coat of arms?

yeah i know. but seriously, with all due respect to them, the aborigionals want to be taken seriously, but they come out with ridiculous statements like how they 'own' the symbol of the kangaroo. they want qantas to take it off their planes, and the kangaroos footy team cant use it etc. sorry, but its never gonna happen. its an australian icon, and i dont think their claim of 'owning' it is gonna stand up in court...

Sovereignty never ceded
Treaties never negoiated
Military defeat never inflicted
Consultation never entered into
Goodwill never shown
Respect never given
I am fully and wholly supportive of my taxation dollars being spent on the pursuit of justice and equity for Aboriginal peoples.
cheers

Why is that anymore ridiculous than the RSL not allowing the name "diggers" to be used?
