I choose Craig Ellis for the fact that they tradded Troy Symonds to get this 'star' backman to fix their backline worries.

Tony Evans, from Muresk country college (WA) in 6 months to two flags and runner up in the Norm Smith twice to Matera and Kemp. Hands down the littlest big game player of the modern era. If Malthouse was Johnny Hay, he'd boof him in the tail pipe.

Simmonds was going regardless, Ellis played a good season for us.
In regards to the thread, Pickett, Bizzel, Powell, Holland have all proven to be at least useful - in fact Powell and Bizz were excellent for a couple of years, Pickett is a gun and holland does his jobs very well.
Vardy was a gun as well.
Melbourne's recruiting of this type has been really good imo.

He has nothing on Brett Spinks (traded for first round pick), Jason Mooney (traded for Jude Bolton), Justin Murphy (traded for pick 11) or Mitchell White (traded for 3 picks inc Ted Richards)...

Pretty hard to get a game when you have OP and shoulder problems.
Haven't seen you on our board lately clad. Where have you been?
Don't make me mention Geelong's recruiting blunders.

About as bad as those mentioned above in the poll.
Can't believe Powell is equal with motlop. He was a star for us and a big reason why woey got the bronlow. It hurt us more as a team when he left then shane.

Bizzell was on track to become the next Ablett until Melbourne ruined his career and turned him into a dud defender.

Powell stands out like dogs balls on this poll. Was a great player for you guys and his Grandfinal, and in fact his whole 99 finals series were absolutely first class

Paul Johnson is the nuff who had the sit on a dwarf like Teague or Livo in the Wizard Cup last year. He dropped the overhead mark like the dud that he is and a Melbourne fan next to me spat his beer out when I yelled out hack! before he nodded in agreement!
Bizzell doesn't deserve to be on the list and he's been a good player for Melbourne.
And he shagged Fiona Horne before bagging that Seven newsreader Jennifer Adams. :thumbsu:
How about Brent Moloney who the Cats dumped as part of the deal where they sold the farm for Ottens?

Jeff White from Freo. He has been a solid ruckman for the Dees for around right years.
Pickett is second for me. He is a prick but he adds the hardness and pace that this Demons side needs.
Brent Moloney third.

Ottens > Moloney.
Ottens wouldn't get a game at Sandy 2nds. He's in the tradition of great powerhouse Geelong KPF recruits in the post Ablett era
The honours list:
David Haynes
David Mensch
Brett Spinks
Marcus Baldwin
Matt McCarthy
Henry Playfair
Brent Grgic
Charlie Gardiner
Kent Kingsley
Mitchell White
Tristen Lynch
Andrew Mackie
Jason Mooney
Cam 'Zoolander' Mooney

LOL Bizzell would captain Geelong. We realeased his potential, Bomber Thompson certainly got the best out of him and the Gurge:rolleyes:
How's captain courageous Stephanie King[(s)hit] going?
