11 Brisbane 24 15 6 9 0 93.12
12 Port Adelaide 24 15 6 9 0 90.95
13 Kangaroos 20 15 5 10 0 84.89
14 Hawthorn 20 15 5 10 0 79.02
15 Carlton 8 15 2 13 0 74.20
16 Essendon 4 15 1 14 0 76.02

Not looking totally unrealistic at this stage. More so if Hawthorn snatch the odd win and Port struggle.

Ess/Carl/Roos snap up the 'big 3' KPP; Hansen/Gumby/Thorp and Gibbs to Port :D

If it stays as it is it's not without chance Sellar will go before him also.

Oh, the joy I (& so many others..) would take from that.

:) :thumbsu:

Can't see it happening myself. Gibbs will go top 3 with Gumby and Hansen.

Presumably North pass on their first pick?

While the hilarity of Port getting Gibbs would be both plentiful and enduring, I'd still prefer we got one of the non-Sellar talls.

Would honestly prefer Port to get hime than perrenial tankers such as Carlton or Hawthorn.

Wow, what an intelligent comment. :thumbsd:

Yep, we deliberately lose matches so our membership goes down, lose corporate support, harder to find sponsors, our brand isn't as good as it used to be and so we can go "cap in hand" to the AFL. Idiot!!

HBF, i think it's a particularly bad year for grapes in the Barossa?

Carlton would never pass on Gibbs. EVER. AND EVER. Carlton and Glenelg go hand in hand, and this hand leads to Sticks who is well known to the Gibbs family. Their little eyelids would be so wide open it would be quite possible that the eyes would drop out. And to be honest, if Gibbs enters the draft, I would be happier with Gibbs at Carlton than any other (except for Adelaide of course).

I hope so !

I often wonder how you Crows fans put up with the Port Adelaide culture in your city, they have chips on their shoulders the size of the Great Aussie Bite. It must be like that pesky dirty little kid at school that follows you around and eats your left over crusts.

Unlike the Blues who eat the crusts thrown at them by the AFL :D

as a victorian i dont know much about the sanfl but lets say gibbs does go to port does he have to change sanfl clubs to suit where port want him to go or can he stay where he is now where his old man played?

Nah he'll stay at Glenelg for the very few games he'll play SANFL. Maric, Johncock, McLeod amongst other Crows play for Port in the SANFL.

If you've ever been aligned to a SANFL team in the past, you stay with that team. Ie, Gibbs will stay with Glenelg. Similarly, if Cooney for example came to play for Port or the Crows he would be aligned with West Adelaide as that is who he played for before the Dishlickers drafted him.

Is this gospel based of fact or gut feel? I'm sure you are NOT on the Carlton recruitment panel so you will have zilch idea about their draft plans. Family ties mean nothing come draft time.

If it turns out that Carlton or Essendon pick Gibbs and leave either of Hansen or Gumbleton to fall to pick 3, the club with that pick will be very very happy. If 2 players' talent is close, I would pick KPP everytime. The reason is: you can still get a midfield gem between picks 10 and 30 but you are unlikely to find a gem KPP in that range.

Never thought I would say it but if we have a choice between Gibbs and Thorp/Gumbleton, I would hope we choose Thorp/Gumbleton

Best for Glenelg was outstanding junior prospect Bryce Gibbs, who set the game up in the first term, finishing with six goals, to go with his 37 possessions and 11 marks

You would think he is assured of going top 2 after that performance.

I heard Sheedy give a big rap about Gumbleton.Don't be surprised if he goes no 1 and Gibbs to Carlton at pick 2.We'll see.
