I have been critical on this bloke for a while now, but that chase and tackle in the final minutes on Griffen was simply sensational and inspiring.

He looked like the only one with a hope of catching some of their running players today. Very handy.

Was running and taking opponents on with the ball (obviously been told to do that whenever he can) which was the main thing for me.

He managed to run diagonally from a half-back flank to the far edge of the square while taking on 3 dogs and breaking their tackles. My heart was in my mouth for the entire time, but it was what we needed.

This guy takes risks and makes things happen. We need more players like that, not less.
I'll stick up for Dog, too. He may have made a couple of poor decisions when kicking for goal in the second half, but he kicked two beauties to keep us in touch in the first half.
Take the good with the bad.

I agree with every single word.

Can't believe how some people were calling for his head earlier in the season, the guy's just returning from a knee reconstruction, was [ understandably ] struggling a bit, and it seemed everyone was dumping on him.
Has been slowly getting better with each game, and his run, and ability to break the lines, are invaluable, top effort today, and showed that he's not far off the form he displayed before wrecking his knee.

It’s good to see him on the improve, I think he is a much needed player for the club, he gives us so much with his pace and his long kicking into the forward line. We have all seen what he can do when he’s playing really well.

Woj is pretty much the only bloke in our team capable of taking a speccy (apart from Otto ;) )
i remember in 2004 when Woj was on fire he took a number of great ones :thumbsu:

Great to see Woj run.

Funny what a bit of confidence can do. The willingness to take players on (I'm convinced the sheer cheek of outrunning the Doggs' midfield rattled them a bit), the big mark, fantastic to watch. Even his disposal was better.

run woj, run.
how bout his mark
What i was going to say!! Love the Monica.. always have, always will. :thumbsu:
But it was more a case of "all hands on deck" in that last quarter. And ALL the players chipped in and did something. Wasnt like Stoksey, last week.
btw, GREAT grab by Otto to in the last minute. Made up for his few terrible, terrible mistakes in the first quarter! ;)

This is good to hear - I haven't been able to watch the game but I am glad Monica is getting back to some pre-injury form and dash. He certainly adds a spark and we need that more and more.

He is still costing the team with his terrible kicking.
Not up to AFL level, in my opinion.
However, the lad can run and jump! :thumbsu:

That tackle was inspirational. Not once have I ever questioned his endeavour or committment.
I've questioned his ability, disposal and decision-making.
