This Zimbabwe team has put up a much sterner resistance than expected, partly due to complacency from Bangladesh. Good on them. They've been forced to play a fair few 3rd stringers.

Good to see 19 year old Farhad Reza chime in with a crucial half century on debut. There's a couple of other teenagers waiting to come in at some stage during this series who have huge reputations in the underage stuff.

Speaking of talented Bangladeshi teenagers, speedster Shahadat Hossain has just taken Bangladesh's first ever international hattrick only minutes ago, 5 days ahead of his 20th birthday.

This is the first hat-trick by a Bangladesh bowler in ODI's. Wonderful bowling from Shahadat Hossain
38.5 Shahadat Hossain to Utseya, OUT, Hossain gets the hat-trick, it was bit wide, plays it away from his body, gets the edge through to Mashud, who takes the catch.
P Utseya c wicket-keeperKhaled Mashud b Shahadat Hossain 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) sr: 0.00
Hossain on a hat-trick
38.4 Shahadat Hossain to Chigumbura, OUT, Hossain gets two in two, yorker right on the toe of the boot in line with the stumps, loud appeal, given by Umpire Howell.
E Chigumbura lbw b Shahadat Hossain 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) sr: 0.00
Chigumbura walks in, the hero of the 1st ODI
38.3 Shahadat Hossain to Mufambisi, OUT, it was wide outside the off stump, Mufambisi goes after it, gets the edge through to Mashud, who accepts it at a comfortable height.
TV Mufambisi c wicket-keeperKhaled Mashud b Shahadat Hossain 8 (19b 0x4 0x6) sr: 42.10

Excellent.

Happened to Steve Waugh once in a One Day game against Pakistan

Pakistan need 6 to win off the last ball and he got bashed for six

Didn't talk to anyone for the rest of the day

It sounded like one of the best one day matches played in recent times. These 2 minnows are evenly matched.

We would like to think we are substantially better than these Zimbabwean team, given that it's comprised of a host of 3rd stringers.

That's why this defeat is even more difficult to swallow.

Zimbabwe win the third game by 7 wickets to win the series, they lead 3-1, with one game to play. Bangas would be disapointed should have beaten that half assed side, well done to the zimbos though.

It's the team they usually play, though one or two are missing.

Even then, we should have beaten them comfortably. Possibly our most disastrous result since we lost to Canada.

He will make mince meat of bowlers and batsmen in years to come.

Shariar Nafees made 118 and youngster Sakibul Hasan was unbeaten on 30 as Bangladesh overhauled Zimbabwe's 202 for the loss of 2 wickets.

An unsatisfying end to a shambolic series.
