Is he going to retire at the end of the year?
I feel for the bloke who has had a career that has been cruelly cut short by injuries and illnesses but there will need to be some tough decisions made at the end of the year. If rama plays on he will never be the same player and I am not sure that just because of his illness he should keep his place? I really liek rama he has been awesome clubman and I don't want to see him go.
I think it would be the best for the club and maybe Rama too if he retired as a player and stayed on at the club with some kind of coaching role.. Maybe as a mentor to younger players. I remember watching him at training before they found the tumour had grown back and he kept getting neck massages during training. I am not sure that he should be playing AFL anymore.

What do other people think?

If he wants to play on them let him play.

I would like to see him go on or at least give it a shot.

Imagine the roar if he gets back out there. It would be spine tingling.

Football is a tough business and I dont think we can keep a spot on the list for him. Maybe they will give him another year to recover and look at redrafting him.

Not sure how he's recovery is going, but if he can get fit and right and get a full pre-season into him he has to stay at the club. He's an absolute gun, adds something different to the team and would make a huge difference if he was out there.

Hasnt been a gun player for 3 or 4 years now. I know I sound harsh but I just cant see him playing AFL footy at anywhere near the same level again.:(

He's been sick, if he can get back to full health and i know its a big if, he can still be an excellent player.

Well, history has shown us some Essendon sons have successfully made the long journey back...I can seriously see Rama getting back once he gets over his personal battle. Watson, Salmon, Heard....

Rama doesn't give him,
keeps fighting and being strong..always thinks about the bright side in life.
I myself am hoping that the footy gods let him play on,
he is still young and is a bloody good player when he plays.

I don't think he would announce his retirement unless it is certain he cant play on anymore,I think he will be back in 07..
that's my wish.. :thumbsu:
