I was messing around with Illustrator and decided to create some alternate Essendon guernsey designs. I threw them all up on a simple webpage.

The bottom one is my pick, followed by the 4th from the bottom.
The second one should be burnt - no way in hell!!!
Fantastic work Stealthy!! Can you put a link to them on the Bomber forum of the Essendon web-site? Might generate some interest!
I have always thought it was necessary to have an alternate jumper for when we are the away team against Melbourne and St.Kilda.
If we are the away team against Melbourne I propose the second one from the bottom.
Why? It continues the black wih a red-sash tradition, but there is far more red than black which would help to differentiate from the navy blue of the Demons (which looks like black)
St.KIlda's jumper is more tricky as they have equal amounts of red, white and black. I think the plain red, with a black sash is the way to go, Stealthy, and for the sake of consisitency, this could be used for both games.

Alternates numbers 3,8 and 11 are great but the rest remind me of standard footy jumpers too much.
stelth,instead of the white,how about trying something with some silver or something along those lines. like the colour they use on some of the clothes they sell at the bomber shop:)

Thanks everyone.
It's difficult knowing whether to create something that is a true "alternate" or to stick to the traditional design but change things around. I tried doing both at times and the results are what you see.
I actually didn't plan on stopping, so you should see some more soon, whenever I get a creative buzz. I've already got silver as one idea. Any suggestions?
I've done all the other clubs as well, but only one alternate for each. They aren't currently available but I could put them up if enough people want to see them.

I made a few more just now, mostly incorporating the plane logo and the color silver (complete with gradient, making it look "metallic").

I'm against changing jumpers at all. Haven't needed to for 100 years. If for some moronic reason we did have to, http://members.tripod.com/bartron/afl/08-front.gif is the only one there I like.

Second from the bottom on the right - Silver top section, with logo, and black bottom section
Third bottom on the right - big logo, with darker top section and silverish bottom section
Second from top on the left - Black top left diagnal, fading into red right bottom diagnal
Can you show me your Hawthorn design? Not that we'd need one, we don't really clash with anyone.

Well, I could show it to you, but I should tell you that it's probably the most boring one of the bunch. I had pretty much the same thought (that Hawthorn doesn't really need an alternate) so I just threw one together that's a reverse (mostly brown).
I didn't really create any alternate patterns for most of them, I just redesigned most of them slightly to change the backsides.

For the record, I'm against jumper change for anything other than the few clashes, ie, st kilda and melbourne (even then, I don't like the idea, but you can't argue with logic) Anyway, you've done a good job. I particularly like the 4th one (it's simple, and avoids clashes, but doesn't stray too far from the normal jumper) and those that are red and black incorporating the bomber logo.
