For mine, the 2nd best character in the show behind David Brent.

Gareth: Now you would have seen the photo with David that went around
Keith: Yeah I saw it, I saw it
Gareth: And we've all had a good laugh over it
Keith: Yeah, it was....funny

Brent: Under strengths, you've put accounts
Keith: Yeah
Brent: But...but that's your job
Keith: * nods *
Brent: Under weaknesses, you've put ecsma
Keith: On my ah, feet.

“I watched that Peak Practice.”
“Yeah, I’ve never seen it.”
“Bloody repeat.”
“Annoying innit?”
“Not for me, I hadn't seen it.”

That scene was close to my favourite out of all 12 episodes and Christmas specials. :thumbsu: I've seen each one about 10 times each.

Another good part involving Keith was when Brent found out his nickname was Mr Toad. "If we are going to be handing out nicknames lets start with him. Look at him!!"

Funnily enough i have warmed slightly to the American version. I thought it was sacriligous having another Office, but its not too bad. If you try not to compare the two, the American version is passable.

I loved the christmas episode where they swapped the presents around.

After sitting through the first two episodes in dead silence with my friend, we said 'never again.'
I keep hearing the second season is good, but there's no way I could even attempt to watch again.

I was exactly the same - except i stopped after the pilot where it was basically word-for-word. But i watched about 3 or 4 episodes just before it finished on channel 10. I'm not sure what series it was (did they only have 12 episodes as well?)

The episodes i saw were quite good. Obviously no where near the standard of the UK version. I couldn't stand the guy playing the equivalent of Tim (Jim) or Dwight (no-one compares to Gareth), but the receptionist (Pam) was good. And obviously Steve Carell is always good value.

I was exactly the same - UK Office fan, gave the US one a go and hated it. After about 3 episodes, where they changed from basically the same script and wrote their own, became well worth watching. Deserves recognition in its own right, as probably one of the best sitcoms that are still in production.

Had this exact same conversation in the pub the other day. Just about everyone who only saw the first few hated it but those who had watched a few more thought it worth watching.

I reckon it's not bad at all (though nowhere near as good as the original). Well worth watching.

I prefer the US one. I might be the only person I know who does.

But I also saw that version first, before the UK one, so maybe I was predisposed to feeling that way.

Keith is awesome. Love the line about the repeats. It's that deadpan delivery....

Can someone please answer this very important question: What is a scotch egg, and has anyone had one before?

There is a lot of room for deadpan comedy in this world, and Keith does it superbly. Even enjoyed his cameo on Little Britain at Fat Fighters.

That was one of the funniest lines in the history of TV. I had to get the wife to scrap me of the floor. The look on dawns face was priceless. :)

They are rather tasty. I try to have them when I get over to the UK. A hard boiled egg with a breadcrumb and pork casing. Good with beer. Some may not like them though;).
