I agree,
or put it towards the new memorial building/s..
but how many movies were made over other disasters or world wars..
it will never stop, and it also shows people what we didn't get to see..
and it makes you cherish life so much more.

Granted, movies based on real events will always be in the fray take any disaster, there is a movie on it. The question is why is this released so soon? We are all alive now and we know how it has affected the world, that will the release of these movies prove?
It really will dramatise what happened - we don't know for sure what happened. The real question is do we really want to see an american opinion piece that will only add to the paranoia of the noughties?

i wont see it. the dramatised version of the takeover of the plane that crashed in virginia (?) was bad enough for me. felt sick afterwards.
and yep, from http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/story/0,23663,20068324-5007181,00.html ...
Conservative columnist Cal Thomas called the movie, "one of the greatest pro-American, pro-family, pro-male, flag-waving, God Bless America films you will ever see."
vomit material there.

I got 9/11 the doco, mostly footage by the French brothers who were working at a firehouse on a rookie video tape. Great doco. I also thought F93 was a good movie.

No thanks. Would rather watch a complimation of clips of Michael Moore and Tony Mundine's opinions on 9/11. At least they are more honest and realistic (if a bit controversial)

Read a story on ninemsn.com today that apparently Oliver Stone's 9/11 film has been very well received.
However, through American eyes, of course.

Normally I would see it, but it'll just be some "We're Americans, aren't we so great" movie.
The whole '9/11' thing has got me stumped....exactly what DID happen on the 9th of November???

I remember watching that a couple of years ago - was absolutely fantastic from memory

I'll be watching the docu 9/11 - IN Plane Site which actually asks the legit questions. Not some carved up American propaganda.
I'll never trust what the Yanks say/produce again, after the shambles that was the Iraq war - Weapons of destruction - yeah right.
Also the moon landing was in all probablity fake.

Do you read Maddox? If not, search for him on Google and read his latest post about 9/11 conspiracies.

I've looked that geezer Maddox up, and if it's that same guy (who runs that bestpageintheuniverse.net) then he is a complete and utter fruit cake who should lay off the mind altering drugs.
What a ****er.

In Plane Site is actually the weakest of all conspiracy theories (well...actually Loose Change is pretty funny too!).
All theories are easily made to look stupid. Don't let the documentary music con you.
Also the moon landing was in all probablity fake.
No, the moon landing was absolutely real. The dust kicking off the tyres in a perfectly parabolic shape indicates no air. We cannot produce that effect here on Earth.
You should eamine why you have a propensity to believe conspiracy theories. Healthy skepticism is fine, but when you lap up garbage, then you are nothing but a pawn.

Figjam, do you find it just a coincidence that the Iraq war happened so (relatively) quickly after 9/11.
The Yanks have taken the 9/11 'incident' and used it as an platform to finally impose their will on the region of the world and oust Saddam.
Quite frankly I think Terrorists are a far less serious problem then the Yanks would have us believe.
I'm more worried about the fanatics in the White House.

I know it seems very romantic and/or cool to ridicule 'American propaganda', but the popularity of 'In Plane Site' has virtually meant that the American Government's Neo-Con propaganda is merely being substituted for dope-smoking uni student propaganda
do some research and form your own opinions, because, at the moment, instead being 'brainwashed' by the American Government, you're being brainwashed by the other side of the political spectrum
and as romantic as their conspiracy theories might seem, you're still being brainwashed at the end of the day

I've said it a million times; that America are a pack of war hungry war pigs has nothing to do with the fact that some middle eastern terrorists hijacked and crashed a plane into several buildings.
Oh wait, no, I must stand corrected! That America are a pack of control hungry war pigs is the motive behind terrorists hijacking planes and using them as weapons. Silly me!
Take 'Loose Change' for example. Created by Dylan Avery. You watch it, and within two minutes, you start questioning the coincidences and the generally accepted story. You get sucked into its emotive methodology, with it's "you're getting screwed over" music.
The first time I saw the film, I was swayed enough to probably lean towards a conspiracy. But unlike those who blindly lap up any conspiracy, I am skeptical of my skepticism. So I did some further research to establish whether or not what I just saw was factually correct. Thanks to the internet, I found out that others had done the same thing and provided their findings.
Take this for eample;
http://www.ccdominoes.com/lc/LooseChangeGuide.html
It dismantles Loose Change point by point, to the brink of riddicule, and you then realise that there are gross errors of fact contained within these supposed documentaries. Some of the emotive tactics used to suck you in are at a car salesman level, which don't even require fact checking, but a bit of common sense.
Of course, you can be skeptical of these debunking reports to (without resorting to the CT's pet term "disinformation"), so pick out a sample of the points you consider to be most crucial, and set about finding out the truth of each point one by one. If you do this with an open mind as I have, you will reveal that 9/11 was not a conspiracy theory, but a terrorist attack.
If it was used by governments to further interests subsequent to the attacks, then meh...what are you going to do?! One thing's for sure, it's not proof of anything.
As TigerFan said, you are being brainwashed by a pack of bored pimply faced, pot-smoking Uni students. There has been enough terror in the world of late, without you or anybody else fearing multiple entities (ie. both the authorities and Islamic etremists).

Meh. I don't really think that you can proof conclusively that it was an conpiracy or not.
I don't listen to the Uni lefties actually, but it's more that I'm very distrusting of what the american political climate stands for. If they lied about Weapons of Mass Destruction, why should I believe them about 9/11 ?
BTW Coughlan leave poor Michael Moore alone. He is a hero for what he said about Bush and the Iraq war at the Acadamey Awards LOL :)

Apparently Stone's movie hasn't done too well at the box office in it's first weekend. One scene they should've included was seeing guys who apparently couldn't even fly a Cessna trying to fly a 767. Endless comedy farce potential.
