Great game today from John, JAJH.
I missed a bit of the game due to my traditional Saturday arvo passing out on the couch, but the quarters I saw he was fantastic. Just needs some time to fill out a bit and to build up his aerobic capacity and he'll be in the seniors permanently. :thumbsu:

Please make sure you get some great pics of Taz and pebbles playing for Willy next week. I will not get to see the game so i will ask you how they went and if you think they will be up for selection for the firsts the following week
Rocca will be dropped and not Taz is my feeling. Any of them could be dropped but Taz at least can run and chase, Rocca also needs a rest.
We need to overhype another youngster like we did with Pendlebury. I say we over-hype Jack Anthony.
JACK IS COMING!
OVER-HYPE IN OVER-DRIVE...
John "Jack" Anthony, so called Jack, because of the fact that he will undoubtedly be a greater defender than the man detailed below, is set to make his debut this weekend in place of his name sake Anthony (of the Rocca variety).
JACK REGAN
1912-1988
Career span: 1930-1946
Games: 196
Goals: 3
Position: full-back
Honours: Copeland Trophy 1936; Runner-Up Copeland Trophy 1934, 1937, 1941; Austral Trophy 1934, 1937; Captain 1940, 1941, 1943; Football Secretary 1969-1977; 3rd Brownlow Medal 1934; Captain of Victoria; Life Member
Jack Regan has long been regarded by astute judges as the finest full-back in the history of the game. Those who saw him play are convinced there have been none better.
Part of the reason Regan was so admired as a full-back was because of the way he played the position. Rather than being the close-checking type, Regan preferred to back his judgement against opposing full-forwards, resulting in some thrilling one-on-one marking duels with champions like South Melbourne's Bob Pratt.
He was a superb aerialist, but also a raking drop kick and, like all good full-backs, extremely cool under pressure.
Jack Regan played football the way the purists believe it should be played - as a battle of skills and wits against his opponent. In an era of outstanding full-forwards, it was an approach that could easily have cost him dearly. That it did not is testament to his greatness.
BigFooty posters from the Collingwood Board, renowned for their impartiallity and subdued opinions on emerging talent, has made the modest comment that Jack Anthony should be given the Rising Star award in advance of the game he is yet to play.
jabso was quoted as saying, "It's hard to be humble, when you're as great as Jack!".
Long-standing Captain Nathan Buckley has been quoted as saying that Jack is by far the greatest player he has never played with.
In anticipation of "Jack's" debut, Anthony has signed a boot deal with Nike purported to be bettered only by Tiger Woods and LeBron James.
Jack will be inducted into the Hall of Fame as a Legend on Thursday night, and will receive a lap of honour prior to his debut, before receiving the keys to the city from Lord Mayor John So.
