View Full Version : Why are we so innacurate in front of goal??

I don't understand. I know it was slightly wet and there were a few rushed behinds, but we've been innacurate all year. For such a skillfull side we just can't seem to finish it off in front of goal. Good performance and I'm happy with the way they are playing, but more accurate kicking would be nice.

Just one of those games I suspect. Not at our best but we ground out a win.

After he last few weeks of big tests, we came in as red hot favourites. Perhaps if this was round 6, we would have won by more, but in round 19 it's a good solid win.

Mark it down the W, forget about it and work towards improving for next week.

Teams are applying more and more pressure and this was another case of a negating game style against a class running side. We were playing on the Roo's terms for most of the game, make no mistake about that but we did enough to get home.

As for inaccuracy, alot of sides are just that, and that is because of the pressure and players are not being able to keep their composure under pressure add to the fact no one goes through their career with a 100% conversion rate for more than 4 games

Yeah it's frustrating at times. It wasn't overly wet but it was just damp enough to make it difficult at times. The wind was also a pain, switching on and off at random. jorel's right though. A win's a win at this stage. Hopefully the radar switches on when we need it.

There is a phenomenon called wind that affects the direction of the ball.

Woosha had this to say:
"But when you are having shots on goal with 30 people inside your forward 50, quite often they have to be rushed and kicked high over blokes and they are harder shots than somebody getting a snap with three-on-three inside 50."

Stop complaining. What were you saying two weeks ago when we kicked 26.9?

The Adelaide game proves we have it in us.

We are much more switched on against the top sides. Against the nuff nuff sides (remember the Hawks or Blues game where we kicked 25 behinds last year?) we just don't take as seriously.

Which is ok because we are so focused against the other heavyweights.

happy to get the win even though we did not kick accurately, especially with 2 top 4 team already upset this round.

Hope the boys are saving the good one for when it counts
