I think TJ, Whelan, robbo and maybe even davey might be right for next week. If this is the case we need as many of our starting 18 back in the side.
Without any new injuries-
In: TJ, Whelan, Robbo, Read (Maybe davey if his ok)
Out: Dunn (Did nothing and I just think he needs more time to mature), Motlop (Was basically on his last chance and I dont think he did enough to warrant another chance, will probably be delisted now), Godfrey (gets the ball but at the end of the day just cannot use it at all) CJ (Looks like a future player but didn't do anything today)
Get holland out he is slow, cant kick or handball well, he isnt up to AFL standards, it is a joke how he still gets a game, why didn't miller play on hall the whole game. yes miller isnt that good but anyone is better then ben holland. he better get DELISTED at the end of the year, he is a JOKE.
we need some hardness to the team mclean and james mcdonald are the only hard ones. if the dees r serious this year and want to win the flag we gotta drop the softys and the ones that cnt play like holland, godfrey at time his kicking lets him down sylvia c johnson motlop fergie (should take the rest of the year off or play with sandy) Jamar needs to become more helpful, he gets 2 kicks and 3 or 4 handpasses a game, if he is going to take over white he better pick up some need and start to learn how to find the footy. He isn't bad infront of goals so maybe we should have a forward line as
FP: robbo
FF: jamar
FP: neitz
CHF: davey
CHF: Dunn/miller
CHF: Bruce/green/yze
Also if bruce green and yze decide to play footy in the nxt couples weeks can they finally do it it next week agaisnt the roos, those 3 have been terible with there kicking hand passing ****s for goal. they need to LIFT THERE GAME big time for us 2 have any hope in the world to win the flag
i dont know about any of u guys but im dying to win a flag and i reccon we can do it this year if we pull our fingers out of our a**es and support the dees nd hopfully in return we will watch some great footy while we win, because i dont want the dees to b known as the softys any more. SO LETS STICK IT UP THEM.
GO DEES
ins: TJ, Whelan, robbo, davey

How was Dunn supposed to have an impact when he was either on the bench or totally out of position? I can't believe they persisted with Holland on Hall and Miller at CHF.

Ins: Whelan, Robbo, TJ, Davey (hopefully)
Out: Motlop, Holland, Dunn, Godfrey (actually want him in the team, but oh well)
Not bad ins if I say so myself. :D

what was wrong with hollands game? hall only kicked 3 goals and considering the ball was down their end so much i think it was a pretty decent effort by dutchy. i think we will need him next week too cause the roos have got two big strong talls in thompson and rocca and we need holland to take one of them.
i agree dunn didnt do much but he wasnt given a whole lot of opportunity either. but we do have one tall too many in at the moment and so i think dunn is still probably the guy to go. wasnt given a lot of opportunity but is probably still a good time to send him back to sandy.
so provided they are all fit my ins would be:
whelan, robbo, davey, johnstone
outs:
dunn, bartram (just think he needs a rest), motlop, godfrey or CJ

in: whelan, robbo, davey, johnstone (though doubtful that all 4 will be good)
out: dunn (don't need him and Miller especially with Davey and Robbo coming back forward), motlop (tried to fill in for Davey but wont be needed now), CJ, Godfrey or perhaps Bartram
Godfrey is annoying and was killed by Goodes but the roos don't have any Goodes. However, we could drop Godfrey and give Bartram more time in the middle as a tagger. CJ did nothing but was played out of position as a small forward. I'd keep Fergy cos he did play well and keep Holland to play on Rocca while Carroll takes Thompson.

Davey and Johnstone seem to be definites listening to various medical reports, and i heard sylvia, whelan, robertson are also all available for selection.
I would bring back Tj, Davey, robbo, Whelan for Godfrey, CJ, Dunn and Holland. We went too tall yesterday and had no run at all. Fukn injuries!

In. Davey, Johnstone, Whelan, Robertson, 426
Out. Motlop, CJ, Dunn, Ferguson, Jamar
Jamar has been useless of late, time to try the great man.

I think ND said Whelan is still a week away from playing last night whilst he was doing special comments on the Richmond vs Brisbane game.
In: TJ, Davey, Robbo
Out: Motlop, Godfrey, Ferguson
We need more runners and we were far too tall vs the Swans. Motlop did stuff all, Godders can't kick and I hate having to drop Fergy but we have too many tall defenders if he plays. I'm not sure about Dunn and Miller in the same side but I can't see who will come in for either of them without adding another tall. I'd love to drop Ward but if I did we would be short of small defenders.

didn't Ferguson do a PCL at the end of the game. If so, thats a 6 week injury for the poor fella, he will def be out next week, we really need whelan.
The major problem with all the guys that were out is that they are irreplacable, whelan's coolness under pressure, daveys pace and harassing, johnstones skills, picketts physical presence. Nobody else on our list are better than these guys at those things. Thank god Rivers is still around

Incidentally how much do we need to develop another small/medium forward? I know our midfield contributes heaps but the forward line looked lost without Robbo there.

And for that reason, and that reason alone, is why I wouldn't mind Paul Medhurst at Melbourne if we could get him cheap. Selfish, yes. Can he kick goals as a small medium forward? Yes.
I'd give Davey another week, bring him back for the Geelong game and then bring Byron back fresh and ready to go for the game at AAMI Stadium. No need to bring them back to soon to see them re-injure themselves.
TJ, Robbo and Whelan should all come in, no idea who we might drop as it's out of about 8 players who might miss out.

The paper today said that Fergy ****ed his knee late in the game...****.

Hughes apparently looks good in the VFL, but he hasn't even played a game yet.
Medhurst is interesting. Has all the ability in the world, but I'm not sure about his attitude. So no, we don't need another selfish player who doesn't stand up when the chips are down.
If we need anything it is more young KPPs.

In: Robbo, TJ, Davey (THANK GOD), 426 (It's time.)
Out: Jamar (crap), Ferguson (injured), CJ & Dunn (no point playing them in useless positions)
B: Ward - Carroll - Holland
HB: Green - Rivers - Brown
C: Johnstone - McDonald - Bate
HF: Yze - Miller - Motlop
F: Robertson - Neitz - Davey
R: White - Bruce - McLean
I: Smith - Bartram - Godfrey - Jones
I'd wanna give Davey another week. He relies on his pace, and if he reinjured that hammy anytime soon, he'd really lose a great part of him.

Bottom line is we need to win this one, I think getting back Johnno and Robbo would be enough against the Kangas.
God help us if Davey hurts himself again, and i thought Motlop looked alright in the time he was on.

At least the Mot attacks the ball. Would be disappointed if he was dropped.

Good point re: Flash. If Robbo and TJ are available I'd let Flash have an extra week off. I don't think he'll play this week anyway.

danners said davey probably wouldve played against the swans if it was finals, same as whelan and johnstone, and myb even robbo. i would say all 4 are deffinate inclusions and sylvia might play for sandy.

In: Johnstone, Davey, Robbo, Whelan, Sylvia, Smith (assuming all are fit)
Out: Motlop, Dunn, Ferguson, Jamar, CJ, Bartram
I know it is a risk bringing in 5 injured players but this is a must win game and none of the injuries were very serious. I am with Marns that unless Davey is 110% i don't want him playing. Same with Whelan, Johnstone and Sylvia (they are just too important.)
I also think it is time for 426. Not just saying this because it is 426 but Jamar has been fairly crap of late while Smith has been consistant for Sandringham. It would be a good time to see what he has considering finals are just around the corner and White needs a bit more support.

I'm not a Jamar fan, but we won't drop our the back-up ruckman that's played all season for someone barely showing form at Sandy. Jamar's crap I know, but sadly he's better than the alternative
Ins: TJ, Robbo, Whelan
Outs: Fergy, Dunn, Bartram
I'm certain they'll give Davey another week to rest.
Those ins are obvious assuming they all get up

If Bartram gets dropped then it's a disgrace. Worked his guts out all year, and then gets dropped for one average game? Not going to happen.
Sounds like TJ, Robbo and Davey will all play this week. I don't think we will make anymore changes than that. CJ, Dunn and someone else will miss out.

reported after training this morning that davey, johnstone and robertson all passed fitness tests. whelan spent a lot of time with trainers and is expected to be 1 more week, same as sylvia. bate didnt train.
in: davey robbo johnstone
out: ferguson (injured), cj, and a tall dunn/bate (if injured) to go out

Can't afford to lose Bate. He has been our best the last two weeks.
I'd get rid of CJ if the refuse to play him on the wing or atleast the back flank. FF...wtf?
