The Birdman is just on Channel 9 right now talking to Dermie and he's saying that he has torn the hamstring off the tendon and he will be going in for scans this week. It may require surgery which would be the end of his season. If he doesn't need surgery he'll be back for the finals.
Sorry if this is old news but I hadn't seen it on here and it's the first I've heard of it.

I'm confused again - shouldn't the club been aware of this, this week - what the hell are we doing in the medical rooms. I thought he had scans last week.
Not happy, Jan!

It's a question of whether it will heal naturally. That obviously takes time to monitor.

Not happy, Jan!
Apart from DaveW's correct response, it could be worse.
We could let our players take the field with torn ACLs, acute OP or bruising on the brain.

Buggar, that is a huge blow. :thumbsd:
Burton is a very important matchwinner for us, so really hope he can manage to get back for the finals. Doesn't sound promisng though.

He has a torn about a cm of the tendon off the muscle, they expected it to of healed better than what it has up to now,if there is no improvement they will have to operate.

Bad luck you guys. The team that wins the GF is usually the team with the least injuries to key players.
Re Sydney last year.
