View Full Version : hey we could snare top.....crows lose again
Freo helped us out
Crows finish is
Bullies MCG...not easy
Port AAMI...showdowns always hard
Melbourne....will be desperate..
I think the bullies mght beat the crows this week...crows lost Massie and Macgregor (hammie) today....and Biglands withdrew
if the crows drop one and we can somehow win our last 3 we'll finish top
We gave
Lions...no fear
Freo...our home game but will be tough
Tigers....should win but wont be gimmie
Derby will be extremely tough.
Tigers game we will lose because of the derby factor.
We might just possibly win only 1 of our next 3.
2nd seems alright to me.
Not really any point finishing top - might actually be better finishing 2nd the way Freo are going.
If Freo finish 4th Id rather play Sydney and avoid playing the dockers in that first week.
But lot of water to go under the bridge!

I`m happy to play whomever we get. Everyones jumping on Freo at the moment (and deservedly so) but we`re not too shabby ourselves.
If we win our last 3 I believe we'll finish top...as I believe the crows will drop another game...probably this week actually

Are you guys kidding? I'd much rather play Fremantle in the finals over Sydney! Swans are a hardened finals team who are tough to play anywhere, whereas Fremantle are a side with virtually no experience of playing in finals, and the hype would more than likely get to them and we'd run away with a comfortable win.
My preference of opponents:
1. Fremantle
2. St. Kilda
3. Melbourne
4. Sydney

Derby/Showdown weekend is gonna be very interesting...there's also Doggies v Saints on the Friday, and the Pies will get another chance to embarrass themselves against a traditional rival (Blues) on the Sunday.

Who cares if we finish 1 or 2?
Yeah i dont care if we finish second or first. The only thing it changes is who we play in the first week and we wont really know who the possibilities are until round 22. Let's just keep winning and see what happens.
I always think momentuem is more important going into the finals last season we staggered in and it showed...while the roos display wasnt brilliant it was a good hit out...we have depth sure we'll lose Hansen but Hunter wont be far away...Jones and Banners are waiting
Even Dean Cox coulkd play CHF for a couple of games

Plus when you think we managed to get 37 shots at goal to 21 in pretty difficult greasy conditions we really could have made it ugly.
We are in a much better position this year than we were last year IMO.

The fact remains that we were 10pts up with not long to go in the Grand Final last year, and you'll never get a better chance than what we had right there.
Of course we can still win it this year.
the main thing for this week is to get the 4 points and not let anyone get hurt.....
that said you want to keep a good thing going....but rarely do we play the same type of footy every week...we can win ugly or win bolting away or come from behind. We also dont need the same structure every time we play and that helps

Oh man - why bring that up AGAIN!
Nothing can change the past! - But the boys can create their own history!

Absolutley agree.
Hanses is already gone in my eyes so we dont want any other injuries.
AT ALL.
