I struggled to find them, but just managed to come up with 5.

POTY

5. Edwards - IMO comfortably our best player and he played his heart out fot the club today.

4. Bode - has his knockers but the little fella was our outstanding forward today. If only the others had put in like this little bloke did.

3. Mattner - best of the defence and really tried to get some momentum going from there.

2. Doughty - another who has had his share of criticism in the past, but his effort today could not be questioned. Didn't cough it up as much as some.

1. Reilly - did some reasonable things today and even that puts him ahead of most of the others.

Best Team Man

3. Edwards - see above

2. Bode - see above

1. Clarke - performed well against a giant in Sandilands and we did win the centre clearances - about the only thing we did win.

Rookie

2. Van Berlo - happy enough with his game. Showed enough to build upon for the future.

1. - Nope, just the one today.

POTY

5: DOUGHTY, Michael - Tremendous game, full of running and hitting contests time and again.
4: EDWARDS, Tyson - What more can you say? Little help?
3: BODE, Matthew - Our crumbing forward finally played like one.
2: HENTSCHEL, Trent - Did well under the circumstances. Was monstered by Dodd all day but still booted 3.
1: STEVENS, Scott - Did as well as he possibly could on Pavlich. Both goals the AA CHF kicked weren't his fault.

BTM

3: DOUGHTY - Did the hard stuff and created plenty for others.
2: BOCK, Nathan - Toiled manfully in the hit-up role.
1: SHIRLEY, Robert - Should move to Holland and take his fingers where they're even more needed.

Rookie

2: VAN BERLO, Nathan - Very solid game capped by a fine goal.
1: MARIC, Ivan - Lionhearted effort by the kid just to cross the line.

Player of the Year

5. Tyson Edwards - Today he was a captain and he played like a captain. He was very good, especially early.
4. Matthew Bode - Great game by Bodster. Easily our best forward today. Oh I forgot he can't kick pressure goals
3. Michael Doughty - Back to his best. Welcome return to form
2. Martin Mattner - Has strung a couple of good games in a row now. He was very good today with his willingness to take on the opposition and run.
1. Matthew Clarke - The workload he carried today was huge and his ability to possibly play his best game for the year in those circumstances was excellent. I thought he rucked well and at least negated Sandilands' influence in the ruck and he took some reall good marks around the ground. 7 to be precise ;)

Best Team Man

3. Matthew Clarke - See above
2. Tyson Edwards - See above
1. Scott Stevens - He did as good a job as could be expected on Pavlich.

Rookie

2. Nathan Van Berlo - The more this kid plays the better he gets. That goal to start of the second half was great and it got the side into gear. Will be a great player.
1. Ivan Maric - Great effort just to rock up today. To play 2 games in less than 24 hours is a MIGHTY effort.

Rookie
1. van Berlo - probably his most impressive game in an attacking sense, but was a little inaccurate and was far too loose on his opponent at times. His defensive game wasn't up to scratch this week, where it is normally his strength. Still, a reasonable game - would have been in our top 8 players.
1. Maric - simply for being out there

5 Bode – Best game for the club by far. Kept us in it really and worked so hard it wasn’t funny.
4 – Edwards – tremendous game by the skipper. Should be All Australian.
3 – Doughty – ran hard all day.
2 – Mattner – best defender by a mile. Some of his running was a bit frantic but at least he was doing it
1 – Clarke – did very well against the big fella and seemed to relish the extra game time

Team Man
3 Bode – never shirks an issue and works 30% harder than any other player
2 Stevens – pretty good on Pavlich other than a couple of brain fade possessions
1 Van Berlo – liked some of his work

Rookie
2 Van Berlo
1 Pass – Maric was understandably poor .

5 - Martin Mattner - I think he had about four smothers and they don't show up on the stats. Best game of the year from MM.
4 - Matthew Bode - He crumbed, kicked goals and kept up that great forward line pressure. Perfect game for a small forward.
3 - Tyson Edwards - Can't believe he could slip so far down my votes. Great game.
2 - Michael Doughty - Was very solid and looked super confident today.
1 - Matthew Clarke - Heavy workload and did not disappoint. Also took what must've been a career high in marks! :p

BTM
3 - Martin Mattner - as above
2 - Matthew Bode - as above
1 - Matthew Clarke - as above - I try to spread them out but these guys really did the team thing today and were amongst the best.

Rookie
2 - Nathan van Berlo - busted his gut all day. Almost snuck into my BTM votes and kicked a very nice goal.
1 - pass, but I was thoroughly impressed that Maric could even step out there.
