Thought he played really well against Carlton - I know it's only one match, but what are you're thoughts on him?? Why did he get delisted?? Why didn't he get any game time at the Power??

Because not only was he useless for us at AFL level, he was even worse when he played for North Adelaide. He had something like 11 goals kicked on him once or twice.

Because we have enough trouble getting our young genuine KPP defenders into the side. Getting in a guy who's really only going to be useful as a third tall defender was basically impossible.

He never really established himself here. Good luck to him at Hawthorn.

He was only ever going to be a 3rd defender here and Pettigrew jumped in front of him for that role.

I liked him, but he didnt command a spot in our side and in the end he wanted to go back home.

I think he was 2 inches too short and a few kilos too light still.

What has become apparent to me, is that if you are going to line up with three tall backs, they might as well all have very good size and be able to interchange with each other on the various opposition talls.

Even Pettigrew might still not be right for this position as a result.

I like the thought of us having Carlile and Chaplin on our last line and either returning Chad to CHB or developing Willits there if he fails as a forward.

Yeah very fair comments, because he just needed to take all those opportunities we gave him at AFL level. How many chances did we give the young defender? Was it 30 minutes in 1 game against the Kangaroos playing in a foreign position across half-forward?;)

I have no problem we let him go, but how can you say he was useless at AFL level when he didnt play. And dare I say he wont be the only defender who has a couple of big bags of goals kicked on him.

Didn't he also have injury problems.

Anyway, Damon White played far better at North than Gilham. I wish Stephen all the best though.

I agree it's not right to bag him, he just had no chance and needed to move on. Came to my kids' school some years ago and was outgoing, well presented and a very good ambassador for the club. Quite the opposite of the scruffy, surly player who accompanied him and is now a backup ruckman for the Saints.

I hop ethat he has some sort of a footy career - but I suspect that he come up a bit short. He is at the right club to at least get a go, but with us he just didn't put his hand up enough for a go. I think he was also with us in a pretty successful period with a stable team.

He wanted to leave, so we let him off. No point in developing a player whois a mummies boy
