I'm with you there mate. I wasn't confident at any stage last year but this year with Lynch's development I think we have the right structure to win the penant.
I dont want this thread to sound arrogant its not...if you look at our form v the top 5 sides we have the runs on the board
Saints beaten them 2 times
Crows Beaten them 2 times
Swans beaten them once from 1 match
so if thats the make up of the top 4 which I think it will be its shouldnt hold any fears fr us
Finals are a completely different game.
We're in a good position now, but we can't have a let down in intensity.
It'd also be nice to play someone apart from ****ing sydney in the finals.

I won't say i feel 100% confident, but i am definately more confident than last season. I think this team has gelled well together, and hopefuly we won't have too many injuries and suspensions.
Yep I agree WC are looking an awesome unit. I said ast year that 2005 would be a bonus but your team would be right by 2006 to win it

THEY must win all 3 games due to poor percentage really. Collingwood Melbourne or Saints will scrape 2 wins together as will Swans.

im a bit more confident this year. but lets not count our chickens before theyve hatched. still 7 weeks away. anything can happen. if we win boy perth is gonna go wild.

Agree, all this finals talk is making me nervous.
All it takes is a couple of key players getting injured and form can be turned on its head in a few minutes! Just ask the Crows.

Still hurting from last year.
I have been confident ever since the beggining of this year. I never lost faith and now we are looking good. I'd say we should make the GF and then who knows, I would be quite confident against anyone but sydney, who I would say it wold be 50 - 50.

People, stop clenching the sphincters and have confidence in the team. You can go into this pointy end of the season with a fear of failure (and never really enjoy the success) or with confidence to succeed.

Late season injuries are still a big concern for me. If Hansen misses matches who do we replace him with ? Hunter and McDougall are both injured and Gardiner is on the outer at the club. We could have similar problems if Cox or Seaby go down just before the finals; or any of our tall defenders. I think that our "second tier" players are better this year than they were last but we could still be wrecked by a spate of late injuries.

IMO hansen is useless and you'd be a better team without him and with grayham playing good footy he could easily fill the void when hunter comes back. then he can play back or forward - probably forward depending on matchups
there are 3 reason why have more faith this season
Graham can hold a key postion player
Lynch can mark the ball now :eek:
