Apart from Goldspink, there are about 30 odd so men (half of them over 30 probably) that you quite honestly say you would love to hate or to even favour i reckon.
Don't express your anger too much.

I meant apart from Goldspink.
I meant apart from Goldspink.
Bryan Sheehan.Admitted he didn't like the way we played in the 90's.Said we were too physical.Found out later he was a bleeder.Wish I had've known that when I walked past him one day.

Scott McLaren. It is like playing against 19 men.He would give himself Brownlow votes if he was allowed.I despise him with a passion.

Umpires IMO aren't going to get any better until they allow players some slack with rule changes, and get rid of the lawyers, coppers, school teachers and academics and get football people involved.

Darren Goldspink. I don't care if you're looking for umpires other than him, Goldspink is a complete ****.

For the record, I don't love to hate Goldspink. I wish I didn't have to hate him, but he leaves me with so little choice.
Next on the list, but quite some way back, is probably Schmitt.
Scott McLaren. He has N.F.I.
Most of his decision are pure guesses.
The "Most Easily Sucked In By The Stagers" umpire in the AFL.

The entire AFL fraternity. Bunch of prettyboy, prima-donna athletes picked on the basis of their ability to run 100m rather than their understanding of the rules.

Kennedy. Hes paid 30% more free kicks against Geelong then any other team or something rediculous like that.
And of coarse Goldspink who will hopefully be at centrelink in 6 months.
Hayden Kennedy. Pompous little teacher know it all with no understanding of the game at all.
Although most umpires remind me Johnny Howard. Smug little ****s.

Mclaren! He's can't do much for bannanas. Neither can Mcburney and Goldspink (game ruiner). It's nature for us to hate someone at one point of time.

It's got to be said, the best umpires are the ones whose name we don't really know. If they aren't noticed, they've done a good job.

As an umpire myselof, i'm not to sure about that, but I do agree than they have been developed into having prima donna attitudes. To umpire football, you do need to have a high standard of fitness and be able to sprint quickly to situations, because you need to be in the right position and be able to view everything going on at all times.
When players who are going for the ball 100% and accidentally bump into umpires not looking where they are going are getting suspensions and umpires are allowed to swear and sledge players while they are fully orderes to hand oput 50m's and reports/suspensions when they cop it back, what are critics supposed to make of that.
Simple fact is that the AFL powers have been creating a culture where umpires are a bunch of prima donnas who think they are bigger than the game, and unless they can rectify this than Newman and Hunt and co. have every right to get stuck into them.
