By Remy Belvaux, has anyone seen this DVD?

I was just sent a recommended title email from Amazon, saying that because of the movies I have bought before, then I might like this one.

It sounds really interesting, but I don't want to buy it & find it is rubbish, so any of the "film noir" buffs help me out please. :thumbsu:

I've seen it. From memory was a fench flick about a hitman or serial killer. May have been in black and white. Was highly rated by puncy arty types that you might find queueing at the Dendy. Whilst they give it 5 stars, I give it the big shyte samwich.

I wouldn't go as far as that in dismissing the film, but Bunsen is not that far off the mark. It's a Belgian flick that might have been viewed as original in 1992, but today just looks tired and so very obvious.

Basically, its point (which is pretty thin at best) is made in the first 30 minutes, then it monotonously hammers it home for the next hour.

Worth a rental at best. It is available locally, so check your local video store.

My son has seen it as well, he said it's a good movie but not a keeper, I'm hiring it out tomorrow but doubt I will buy it. I think I will buy "Cache" instead.

Mantis, did you manage to catch "Cache" during its cinema run?

No, it didn't make it to perth, that's why I'm buying the DVD.
