Rivers does some more spectacular things but McDonald got my vote because he always has his head over the ball and puts his body on the line more than most. His tackling is supurb and requires an awful lot of courage. Bartram has a supurb role model.

I went Fergy because he deserves more votes than he is getting, consistently goes back with the flight, much the same as Rivers, and Junior always puts his head over it

Godfrey beacuse he would walk in front of a moving truck to get his hands on the ball. In fact maybe he sho..... nah that may be a little harsh.
We've got some seriously tough/courageous cookies.
I love doggy, particularly because of his size. I remember the hit he took from Buckley I'm pretty sure in QB a few years back, just prior to half time. Knocked out on the flank with his teeth through his tongue and roof of his mouth. Got a few stitches in the tongue and led us back out for the start of the 3rd.
Godfrey is built so that helps, but for all the criticism he cops, and his lack of skill, he makes up for in courage.
Rivers, not much needs to be said. We've all seen what he does.
Junior, Brock, Whelan, Bartram, Fergy and Carroll do what they have to consistently. Probably not the most courageous in my eyes (compared to their competition in Brown, Godfrey and Rivers), but you cant help but love them all.

I also went for Fergy cos its real tough to consistently put your body on the line like he does when you've been injured doing that before. And he does it all without even blinking an eyelid.

I'm with you. People criticise Doggy, but he jump off a cliff without question if he had to do it for the team. That day he lead the team out was pretty inspirational actually. I'm going to try and get that game on DVD.
Godders is also very courageous. Against Richmond this year he ran back with the flight when they went inside 50 and although he didn't cop the hit he clearly didn't care if he did or didn't.
I gave my vote to Fergy. Rivers is my favourite player after Beamer and has taken some beauties running back with the flight but Fergy does it in insane situations.

Nathan Brown for sure for me. Apart from being an old school buddy of his up here in the sticks of north west Vic I admire the bloke because he always sticks his head and body where angels fear to tread. 80kg's and pound for pound must be one of most courageous blokes in the comp.
The hit he took from Buckly QB (teeth in his cheeks, stitches in his toungue and leads them to a win), when he got bruising of the brain from Clive W knee in 2000 backing into a pack and missed the finals because of it. Heaps of other eg's but there's a couple for you.
Saw him in fight outside of the local pub back home when he was barely 17 and skinny as a rake. The other bloke was picking him and was twice Nath's weight but Doggy didn't back down and stuck up for himself. He said after the biff he was ****ting himself but that sums him - he'll have a crack no matter what he's up against.

I went with Bartram, just because I love the kid.
He is like a 12 year old girl with balls. Love him!

I wish we could vote for more than 1 person, as they are all courageous.
Godfrey deserves a mention, hes played 80 odd games on sheer workrate and courage.

I would have Brad Green in there it is a common misconception that he is soft. He used to stage for free kicks in the forward line but I have never seen him as afraid to cop a hit.
Robertson should be there as well.

Greens not soft, hes just a reciever.
Robbo is a bit different, he doesnt use his courage to the best of his ability at times.
Theres a fine line between courage and stupidity after all.

I was referring more to that he has a massive heart and you can tell he bleeds when the team isn't doing well.
He was the only one who stood up when we were disgraceful last year.

Is that courage though?
It was just that he played well alongside 20 Godfreys and a Nick Smith.

For him to play a CHF role considering his size, and bust his gut every week, although the team was getting spanked, shows a massive heart. He also helped us make finals last year.
How was Yze in 2003? Oh thats right, he was apperantly playing injured for the sake of his games record
