Makes us a fair bit slower against a pretty quick side.
the Hawks aren't that quick, they just like to run a lot

True, have some hard running players like Clarke, Hodge, Ladson... but they aren't anything like the bulldogs player. We look quick when we move the ball and play on at all costs, but when we don't we look the slowest in the comp.
Sides who have dominated us have generally shut down the corridor and forced us to try and keep position of the ball, this is when we struggle because the footskill isn't strong enough.
Where do you guys reckon Hird will line up?

We actually don't have one player in the team with genuine pace.
Well, looks like Rioli is almost certain to play. Probably a good thing we're not playing the Bulldogs till season's end or the chubby one would look embarrassingly slow against them. Still, he's taking the place of Jolley so the team clearly isnt coming before the individual in this case.

What's with Nash's foot ?
Jolley unlucky, made a couple mistakes but his workrate and hardness were great.

jolley was fairly stiff i think....making way for a fat bloke and a guy who doesnt care about his team mates.

How many minutes will Rioli play. It says Nash out (foot) but Is it Nash out (foot) or out (omitted) or out (now emergancy but will be late change)

He's injured, probably shouldn't have played last week. Hence the limited game time compared to previous weeks.

We were probably lucky to find 3 fit players to name as emergencies, I wouldn't go reading much into it.

Really? I suppose if you ignore the 3 players, at least, that do.

I thought Jolly was good last week. Good to see Rioli back in the attack.

Jolly was ok. Rioli will play about 10 mins at the most per quarter. I guess if he has sons its the right thing to do to play him
There's always one players who only gets 40 minutes or even less, so if he shows a bit of Rioli class he's better than most to have a low amount of game time, if that makes sense

The Father/Son thing is a smokescreen, Sheedy wants to do it for Dean.
