Hows the press conference today. MM stormed off after another question about Taz and said ive had a gut full of this. A couple of minutes later Bucks comes out smiling to carry on the press confernece. Does anyone else think MM is cracking?, i must admit the pressure on him for us to do well must be huge.
Win 8 out of the first 10 / Win 3 out of the next 9 WOW

But Mick doesn't have to put up with more of this Tarrant stuff. I mean its been done to death. The media could start asking better questions than just the same old. What's the point in him going to the meeting the press if they're just going to ask him the same thing over and over again.

I think some of the media need to look hard at themselves. Time after time the same questions are repeated...take the post match press conferences...how some of the coaches don't blow up more amazes me.IN Sa we have one guy that the coaches deliberately slow their answers down to try and get the message across first time....usually to no avail. Don't blame you Mick!!

OK, lets settle this once and for all! The media love to get stuck into Collingwood no matter what it is, a classic example was the Didak story on the front of the paper!!! When i read that i laughed so hard, i didnt have to do my regualre 150 situps i normally do every night!!!
He walked out after answering questions in that confrence for 16 MINUTES!!!!! Its not as is he walked out straight away, he is there to talk about the team, not Tarrant!!!!! We have a captain that is about to break the all time games played at captain record, and the silly children asking questions ask about Tarrant?????? UNREAL!

The conspiracy theorist in me says it was all staged.:D
MM stormed out so that he could give Bucks some practice in the hot seat. All part of his coaching apprenticeship for when Mick hands over the reins in a couple of years.:thumbsu:

Ruschi?
Or perhaps just defending his players as a coach should do.

Whatching him in the last few minutes of the game last night i must apologys MM now seems like he is not cracking under pressure he seems perfectly calm. But maybe his headphones are a little tight on his head he seemed to take them off pretty quickly with a few minutes to go.
Mick more than earnt my respect in that coaches box last night. If thats not passion, i dont know what is. He was doing what every other Collingwood supporter should have been doing screaming their lungs out, he wanted that win... so did I, and in the end I wanted it for him too. Go Pies, can anyone smell a fairytail coming???
yeah i can kinda smell one, i dunno about winning the premiership but i get the feeling we are gonna surprise some people when we get to the finals, probably surprise ourselves too.

Yes, very passionate man. Has done much for Collingwood... but Scott Doolie on Triple J had a fair comment last week when he suggested that maybe a journalist should stand up and say "could you stop talking to grown journalists like we're a bunch of your first year 18 year olds and just answer the question Mick."
Sure his heart is in the right place, but sometimes I wonder if he's doing the club any favours off the field.
Then again, who cares. Sticks up for the players and the players love him. Maybe he's smarter than we think?
I can just hear the media now, if Malty hadn't have had the fit when Burnsy missed.
"Malthouse appears to have lost his intensity and appears no longer suited to Senior AFL coaching" or some similar crap they'd have trotted out!

Honest Question:
Is Mick a bit fond of the sauce?
That man's nose was glowing at the press conference today, and alternates between bright red when sedate to normal when he's having one of his agro moments.
Having a drink isn't unheard of in the game of AFL football, but it just seems to stand out with Mick.

All Pies fans and others.
Will be there this week finally for my first game for the season from Mexico so I need to know the best place to sit and meet the crew etc.. Also i hope Mick doesn't crack under pressure in the last 2 of the season then is prepared for the biggey's need advice on the finals tickets too.
Canga!! :thumbsu:
Huuuuuuuge if but if we win the flag this year somehow I wonder if Mick would quit, same goes with Buckley to a lesser extent. Either way I think MM will have a smaller role even if he remains as senior coach with Bluey and co. taking the reigns.
