ATTENTION COLLINGWOOD FANS AND MEMBERS, i tell you what most of you blokes that post in the Collingwood forum here have some pretty good stuff to say most of the time, but some of the rubbish i have heard over the radio since last friday just blows me away!

Honestly, i think the Brisbane win this year totally de-railed our season, that win cost us with 4 injuries and just de-railed us a little and i dont think we fully recovered as a team after that!

People tend to forget we came from 13th and 15th the last two seasons, and to make finals this year is a great effort. Some people just expect too much, i think at our best we are a top 4 side BUT considering how this year has panned out i would be happy to finish as low as 7th. What do all you guys think? If we make the finals, and win 1 final and get knocked out i would say that would be a great lanuching pad for next year!!!

If we happen to finish 4th, we would have to play the crows or eagles away, a miracle occurs and we knock em off, we get a home prelim...who knows what can happen!!!

GO PIES!!! Lets stay positive!!

I agree. A win over Brisbane is a good year if you are a Collingwood fan.

I can't agree that the game derailed our season. It hurt us a little but we have had a dream run with injuries and all of those injured players have since returned yet we are still losing.

I do however agree that there is alot of rubbish been written about our season. There have been a stack of positives . We will play finals and I think we will improve next year so long as we have good run with injuries

If most of the big improvers this year in Lonie, O'Bree (yes O'Bree!), Davis, H.Shaw, Johnson all maintain this level or improve further next year it will a big bonus. Add to that some second and third year players who will be better for the experience in 2006 coming on in Thomas, Pendles, Davies, Iles, O'Brien, Rusling, Egan, T.Cloke. Next year could be a very good year.

Having said that as much as the emo magpies/doomsdayers might say the year is actually not over yet.

you make a good point Jabso. Does anyone remember 2002?? Most people remember the finals series but what about the lead up to the finals . We started very well in the first 10 weeks(like this year) and faltered towards the end of the season. From memory we got pumped by the dogs in the last game and everyone(including our own) thought we would go out in straight sets. We were playing crap footy. We got to footy park and beat the Power and the rest is history(although not the fairytale ending we hoped for). Its a big if but IF we can make top 4 and starting playing the way we did earlier in the year who knows what can happen.
