Who else on our list was left this week who was available?

Only B Murphy, Wells and M West?

I cannot remember this many injuries to our side, or indeed any other side (Saints a couple of years ago? Brisbane now?)

Yeap - and take into account that B Murphy is not really on the list anymore.

What about Tiller?

Tiller must be just about ready to resume. Wells didn't play last week, even for Werribee 2's so I assume he's injured as well.

If Birss and Smith didn't get up Michael West would have gone from Werribee reserves to an emergency for the Dogs.

the injury list at the start of last week said tiller was gone for the season.

So in summary, does that just leave West as the only fit player not to be mentioned in the side this weekend?

But we've got 14 - sorry, now 13 -players who have played every game so we must remember to thank the injury gods for our good fortune this season:rolleyes:

Mike Sheahan says it so it must be true:rolleyes:

How Sheahan continues to get paid astounds me.

Do waste your time with Sheahan.

On Dr Peter Brucknors table, based on injuries the Dogs and Crows are the best performed teams of the year.

Watch out guys you don't want to be attacked for making excuses. Apparently having no fit players to choose from is not an excuse and you'd be a fool who accepts mediocrity for saying so. :P

You can now cross Skipper off the list as well as Chris Bond on WLF has just said that Skip has damaged his leg today.

I know a lot of people don't like anyone to mention the 'I' word but it's seriously getting to the stage where even the training is not practical when you consider that we have a few players of rehab.

Bondy also said that Skip is unlikely to play again this season.

At training yesterday, he left the ground limping and upset.

Oh for christ sake (sorry). But seriously, it was reported we have 25 to choose from... Make that now 24. We won't be able to field a team soon. Rediculous that people still say we only have 4 decent players injured. I'm sick of hearing that tripe:mad:

We have three players in the Werribee side today; McCormack, McGuinness and Murphy. That's pretty much it.

Triple M - Eade says 1-2 weeks for Skipper. Not a broken leg after all

19 Aug 2006, 14:37
A nerve, not a broken leg for Skip, according to Eade on 3MMM just now. One week? 24 available this week, he said, not counting 2 in Weribee 2nds. 22 to run out from 24 available!!! He also took some of the blame for the lack of contested playing recently because they've had 14 v 14 in practice matches which has not allowed for sufficient decision making in tight situations. With 14, too much space on the full sized ground!

Of which only McCormack will see the list in 2007.

But both the others are very good VFL players, Murphy did some nice VFL things yesterday, which he cant do at AFL level.

I hope they go to Frankston or Port Melbourne and forge a VFL career and not take up space at Werribee.

Which he did on debut though in Darwin two years ago, and also in a couple of games at the end of that season. Hasn't been given a chance to show what he can do at AFL level much since.
