Late withdrawal according to Rohde on 7 news. Didn't say who's come in.

I guess Walsh.
Which would solve that height problem.

Would explain why Walsh was listed as an out for the Power

When he's on the field he might.
If Choco actually gives serious game time to a young tall on debut (without injury as the reason), I'll be impressed.
Porthos, Lower got a fair bit of game time last week, what's your take on that ?

First of all, that was very improbable and was good to see.
Second of all, he ain't a tall.
Third of all, if that hadn't happened, I wouldn't even entertain the thought that Willits might get that sort of opportunity.
ah i dint notice you said 'young tall'

Hard to know how to rate Willits on tonight's performance.
He got enough game time IMO to get a feel for his style.
He certainly ruffled a few opponents in packs.
That lead (before dropping the chest mark) looked promising and he found space late in the game on a few occasions.
But I couldn't help but be struck by his clumsy efforts to snatch at 2-3 high balls. They looked extremely awkard as though marking doesn't come naturally to him. His hands looked well away from the actual drop of the ball.
I wonder if he has Pearce's eyesight problems, because I've seen Ryan on a few occasions now (also for the Bays) where he has looked as though he completely misjudges it.
On tonight's game, judgement will be best reserved for a fair while yet.
hmm, from what i saw, i don't think he's going to amount to all that much.
Just because he's tall and plays AFL doesnt mean he'll succeed. I honestly don't think he's going to do much at AFL level, does not look to be a natural footballer or even a natural athlete.

I hope that he proves you wrong there deeps. Yes he was a bit clumsy at times and I've seen milk turn quicker than him, but there was enough in his game to suspect that he has got what it takes. He seems to have a ready made AFL body shape and the desire to give it a red hot go.

White had the flu. I don't think you need surgery for that, but you can't be sure at Port.

I'd be glad if he proves me wrong. AFL body shape and desire is not the only requirements of an AFL player however. I do believe that if Willits played for any oher AFL team, we would be bagging him, even if we'd seen his sanfl form etc.
It wasnt just his turning/movement. His marking looked very, let's say unconventional. Mind you, this is the first time i've seen him, so i am judging on limited vision here, but thats just my first impression.
Hopefully for his sake, choco didn't see it that way, and he gets another go this season.
