Your Adopt-A-Dog:

Matthew Boyd and Sam Power

Position/s Played:

Matthew - midfield, Sam - up forward, hooray!

Did your Adopt-A-Dog suffer any injuries in this game:

No

Comments on your player's performance:

Where do I begin? They were both GREAT, especially under pressure. Boydie, cool as, and Sam, very quick thinking. He's learnt a lot defensively too.

Position/s Played: onball/midfield

Did your Adopt-A-Dog suffer any injuries in this game: No

Comments on your player's performance: As Eade said after the game, brought his own ball today! His work both at the coalface, and as a hard runner, was amazing. Was an inspiration to his teammates early on in the game and kept his workrate up, especially as a link up man coming out of the back line or moving forward of the centre square.
As usual his work in the clinches was a major highlight, either extracting hard one ball and getting it to advantage, or else preventing clean takeaway from the opposition.

Did your Adopt-A-Dog suffer any injuries in this game: No

Comments on your player's performance: Not a prolific debut and made a couple of glaring defensive errors, but the impact his made on one contest in particular in the centre caused a Crows turnover and raised my eyebrows.

Certainly looks to have the pace and can tackle, and didn't look overawed by the occasion.
I'm sure the fact that we won such a pivotal game on his debut will have a positive impact on his development.

A slightly quieter day by Chris Grant's standards - kicked a goal, took a few marks where they needed to be taken.

Comments on your player's performance:
Career best game. Absolutely smashed Adelaide and showed all of his trademarks - long kicks, bursts out of packs, classy snaps, tackling...

Anyone who said he should be dropped should bow their heads in shame. And to think he's done something like this while carrying an injury.

Five goals and over 30 possessions. He showed his class and hopefully he's just hitting form now on the lead up to finals.

Started in forward pocket for first term, then wing and on ball?

Did your Adopt-A-Dog suffer any injuries in this game:

No?

Comments on your player's performance:

Didn't see the whole game but in first quarter had 3 possies and one goal through some very courageous play. Commentators said that effort [smothering a kick then following up to go after it and win a free for high contact] was 'Wonderful stuff...gutsy...the type of thing coaches love to see...' Later they said he had 'Worked hard as usual'.
Did not seem to get a lot of possies overall and not listed in the best players but showed good skills and attack on the ball and used the ball well when he got it.

Comments on your player's performance:

Played a major role yesterday. Picked up another 30 touches and doesn't look like slowing down. Worked well with West and Cooney. In and under work was again fantastic and stopped a certain goal in the final term. Generally used the ball well, but missed an easy set shot. He's averaging 30 touches over the last 5 games, but will need to make sure it continues against St Kilda next week, one of the teams he generally hasn't played well against.

Great report on West YHF, he definitely is such an important player in our team - he just continues to defy logic week in and week out. Scott West is one remarkable footballer and so lucky we have him at the Dogs.

Position/s Played:

Forward

Did your Adopt-A-Dog suffer any injuries in this game:

No

Comments on your player's performance:

Same old story for Cameron, some beautiful cameos. Especially in the 3rd qtr when he won the ball on the boundary and sent a neat pass to Johnno who goaled during our run in that qtr. Once again he only gave us a taste, just not quite enough (although he only had 60 odd minutes game time).

His break out game is still coming. Stay tuned.
