Is currently on TV.
I watched the thrid quarter.
Werribee up by about 9 goals.

I think the only dogs listed players are Dmac, Kmac and B Murphy.
Does that mean Skipper is playing with the dogs at the G today?

If anyone watched the whole Werribee game It'd be great if you could give us a run-down.

Spoke to Pods tonight. Said that Kmac wasn't good today either.
I think he is feeling the pressure.

I'd agree with what you have said, Ernie. Muff looked like he was feeling it today. Was very good with his second efforts and at one stage appeared to injure his ankle, but there is a bit of a dead feeling about the way he went about a few things today. And I don't suppose you can blame him. Many may say that he has stuffed up every opportunity he has been given, however he now realises he will cop the boot come season's and may not get another chance in the big league.
Brad Murphy was alright today, kicked a few goals, but I thought DMac was pretty ordinary except for a long goal he kicked.

Bit off the topic, but what happened to Ben Canabaro(sp) ? Did werribee delist their statistician at last season's end?

Saw the game on tele and I thought he did alright. I reckon he would have had reasonable stats, but he mucked it up a couple of times. But I thought he tried hard and was where the ball was.

A couple of players to impress were Young and Barham. Don't know much about them, though.

Pods was not named in the best yet kicked a lazy 6 goals.

He is potentially a very solid FF in the AFL.
If we pass up on him in the rookie draft, id be very p''d of off.

He is to old under current rules for rookie draft. Next season though the AFL are considering a change to the rules so that 1 rookie can be excluded form the age restrictions.

Pods on a AFL full back with his lack of pace and inability to play another position will be found out very quickly. If they change the rules he might be worth filling a spot with 4 rookies, but that asisde, we shouldnt waste our time on a VFL player.

But I hope another AFL team does, so that our young talls play in prime forward positions for the Bees firsts in 2007.

His reaction time is not up to AFL standard either. He turns his back on play after marking too often and never looks ready to lay it of to a bloke in a better position than himself.

Morgan is likely to stay on our list in 2007.

I think Pods is a better play to fill our FF void then Morgan.
Morgan was there to make a contest - that we can also get with Pods aswell as a few goals.

If im not in correct, i think Pods has played Back a few times this year and is fairly capable of going back to take an opponent.

My doubts about Pods is he is too slow for our side.
Eade won't play talls for the sake of it, if there no 2 or 3 efforts. Not sure Pods could do that.

Yes. Occasionally back so that Davidson could do nothing up forwards.

He ain't over accurate. He is SLOW. All he has is good hands, and that's at VFL level.

We have really got to look past a 3 times looked over VFL player as being any answer whatsoever to our problems. Seriously, he aint the answer for the dogs.

Again I agree with you, Ernie. However, I'm thinking the opposite to you. Perhaps the quick delivery could be a positive for Pods. He is pretty nippy off the mark and so if he could get a quick break on a lead, the delivery from the midfielders should find him on 9/10 occasions.

Well perhaps you have a point too. Clubs have obviously overlooked him for a reason. But I don't see why if Pods addresses his so called 'weaknesses' on a professional basis, why he can't rise to a reasonable level. I simply don't understand why he can perform better than all Doggies KPPs in the VFL, yet doesn't have any ability for AFL football. He hasn't played an AFL game apart from pre-season cup 2002 (and he has improved since then!) so I don't know why we can state confidently he would be a hack at AFL level. He has comprehensively beaten blokes who play or have played AFL footy.

Possibly one dimensional. I think Rocket would want speed and versatility. I would think Darce would be a better bet at full forward.
