Best win in all the circumstances eg

- injuries/available players,

- playing the top team,

- importance of game/need to win to secure finals place

since 2000?

Cannot believe it! Having listened to every match broadcast this year, this morning (it's 8:30am here now) was the morning I decided to sleep in:o

That's a classic win. Westy must be looking good for the Brownlow. Cooney might take some votes though by the sound of it.

LOL And I was as tired as hell and decided to stay up to watch the scoreboard. Match finished at 1.40am my time and I'm still up an hour later! The Doggies have really screwed up my weekend sleeping habits this year!

This would have to have been one of the most important matches this century!:D

If only 774ABC Melbourne would fly me over for the Finals.:o

Just called in here to congratulate all you Doggie fans for a great courageous win over the Crows.

I remember the years going out to Western Oval when your loyal supporters stuck through many a thin time (mind you, the Hawk's power teams came unstuck out there even so). So I am enjoying seeing the Scrays now in the good times. I sincerely hope you can go on to win the big one. I'll be barracking for you. Good luck.

2 weeks to rest West, Grant, Smith and Johnno on our hands.
And the Coonster stepping up to the plate like a young Babe Ruth as well as Jordy.
Get exited very exited.. this has been a war of attricion this year from every team's perpective so far this season.
Guido & Monty to come back, Faulkner & Birss look like they have stuck.
We might be in the position to march home the hardest above all the rest, Interstate or Melbourne based.
Woof Woof Woof Wooof WoooooF WooooooooF
and lets bite em as well.......:D

Certainly the greatest I've seen in my 3 seasons of dog following.

I still can't believe how the boys managed to step up and lcaw back that deficit. It wasn't just the willpower and stregth, it was the skill level that blew me away.

Go Dogs!

Probably one of the best feelings I have ever experienced having followed the dogs for about 15-20 years.

When the Coondogg snapped that sausage roll and the crowd erupted was pure magic. I didn't even hear the siren to be honest, and it wasn't for about 10 seconds that I realised it had even gone. Still getting tingles just thinking about it.

I'd have to say YES to the original question. With the Cats breathing down our neck, and to come back from 5 goals down, it is definitely a memorable victory.

Same here...I didn't hear the siren go either. Crowd atmosphere was fantastic, witnessing this win was amazing. One of the better wins I have seen.

Must have been pretty special because AFL.com has seen it fit to describe us with a word that has only been used twice in the history of the English language (see below).

"The Western Bulldogs have all but secured their first finals berth since 2000 after their 'indefatigable' spirit again come to the fore with a thrilling come-from-behind win over out-of-form league leaders Adelaide on Saturday at the MCG."

Seriously, it was a brilliant win. I was fired right up from about 10 minutes before the 3qt time siren, but the greatest part of the game was watching Hart and Johncock falling all over each other to spoil McMahons kick for goal. It nearly hit Johncock in the head when it came down. It's just great to see some luck going our way.:thumbsu:

BTW
indefatigable \in-dih-FAT-ih-guh-bul\, adjective:
Incapable of being fatigued; not readily exhausted; untiring; unwearying; not yielding to fatigue.

That was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. The whole crowd went silent as soon as they realised no-one was running at Jordy. Then there was the sound of 30,000 people all inhaling at once as it bounced on the line and the Adelaide players flapped helplessly at it.

The crowd was holding their breath in anticipation - what a great moment that was, I was stunned and couldn't help jumping up and down in my seat.

You must be happy with your blokes today, beating the 2005 and 2006 Premiers.

Your mob played well.

The % difference equates to about 120 points.

2 x 30 pt losses to the Dogs and 2 x 30 pt wins to the Cats and it would be awfully close.

Very happy...I reckon it shows we can still match it with the better teams. It is still important to win these last few for momentum in 2007 if we don't happen to do a miracle and sneak into the 8!

I really do think we will win our last two:

- Melbourne (Skilled Stadium)
- Hawthorn (TD)

I guess if we can beat Melbourne comfortably, it may put some pressure on you guys, but I can't see you losing to Essendon unless Hird plays a blinder or something like that.

I'm praying for a miracle though!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cant cope with too much more of this..... I'm having serious withdrawral symptoms being on the other side of the world and missing out on all of this, @##@@@

Thus far I've missed Granty's last game.....

This win.....

And Finals.....

But hear me and hear me well..... Should we make the big one, I've already put provisions in place to get me home before the big day and cut this trip short by two months.

My beloved bulldogs never cease to amaze, win the games we shouldn't and lose the games we shouldn't!!!!
