Johhno, West, Smith and Grant

Surely this is the time to give these great warriors a week's rest each.

Rest 2 one week and the other 2 the next. Guido, Eagle & Monty will come back into the team over the next 2 week's for match fitness alone.

Regardless of what the Cat's do we are their. This is the day to start our final's preperation.

Long live the late inform comebacks of Cameron Faulkner and Shane Birss.
To a lesser extent the improving Cameron Wight and Travis Baird.
More and over a longer period Sam Power
And what can I say about the Coonster.

I think where ever we end up we will and can cause major havoc in 2006

I like the idea. Personally dont think Johnno needs it as much as the other 3 but he has certainly deserved it. With Cooney will be difficult as I'd love to see him get a rest (carrying the injury and all) but he is certainly getting his form back.

I think we have got ourselves into premiership mode after that regardless of who we lost during the season.
We are still standing and are very very strong.....

Id rest Grant and Smith.
Wouldnt rest West or Johnson.
Too valuable to our team and is just messing with form.

I personally think that Street will be dropped.
Birss will probably be given a week in the Bees.

With the inclusions of Monty and Gian.
Skipper will probably come in but for who??

If we lose next two games by decent margins and the cats win by decent margins they can still take our spot

Lets just play all I say

No I'd prefer the big prize
Johnno & Westy deserve a week which would pretty much think music off as well as Smithy & Granty.
Considering Guido & Monty both need some game time prior to Final's as well, I would prefer an unfatigued well rested Jonno & Westy start and finish our four weeks of final's.
At the end of the day Brad Johnson's, and to a lesser extent Scott West's well being will determine our destiny.
I say let em rest ;)

We haven't made the eight yet.

Sure, we could rest a couple in round 22 IF we beat St Kilda and/or Geelong lose, but it isn't certain yet.

Addison out Gia in will be the only change this week. Don't rest anyone, there's no point.

Don't think Streeter deserves to be dropped. Anyway, heard Skip is out for the year?????

I would think not as he is playing reasonable football - you would obviously have Minson as first choice ruck. I personally think he (Minson) needs to regain a bit more match fitness and confidence before we utilise as first choice ruck. Street did some good things back in defence today as well as in the centre and got some good tap outs.

Interested to hear why you think he should be dropped and who his replacement should be? I am assuming Skipper.

Screwing around with form trying to get to damn smart was what got the crows into trouble today. Terrible chipping arouing in the third quarter. Riding bikes for training (Aint that a recipe for a hammy problem). Heavy training phases.

Dont get too smart. Let these champions play all the games like they had for the rest of their careers. I am mystified if Brad Murphy and KMac have anything to offer.

Street and Minson still are our best ruck options and are both developing. No way should we drop them. Minson needs to run into form. Street did OK, Darcy and Skipper are injured Wight is too light.

I hope they don't rest smith. He plays his 300th first week of the finals. Could give us a nice boost on the day.

Skip could be available next week but more likely the week after. Apparently it's nerve problem not a break to the leg as first thought

Not a given to make the 8.

Cant fart arse around by resting players. Need to go out with our best possible team, trying to win a game of footy.

No he doesn't. He will be on 298 at end of Rnd 22.

I don't want to put a dampner on a fantastic victory, but we are not guaranteed a spot in the 8 yet, and therefore can not afford to rest anyone.

We started the round 8% ahead of Geelong, and are now only 6.4% ahead.

If we lose both our next 2 games (and lose 2% each game) and Geelong win theirs (and gain 2% each game), then we will miss out on the finals.

Lets enjoy the victory, (the beers are going down nicely) but don't get carried away just yet.

Perhaps after the St Kilda game (if we win) we can rest one or two players...but would prefer they all play if possible - they can rest all they like after the finals are over. :)

It's certain enough, to gear for a final's campaign rather than muck around with 2 meaningless weeks of the home and away.
2 wins and 120 points on the cats........game over home and away 2006
We've got bigger fish to fry.

I dont think that he SHOULD be dropped. I jst believe that he might be dropped because eade has had some disciplinary problems with street recently and with street not following the game plan. With a couple of costly mistakes today that were un disciplinary, i just think that eade may be tempted.

If we lose 100 to 70 against the Saints, and 100 to 70 against the Bombers, we would finish with 105.0%

If the Cats beat the Demons 100 to 70 and the Hawks 100 to 70, then they would finish 105.3% and would make the 8.

I guess the odds of that happening are fairly low, but it's not unthinkable that we could get thrashed by the Saints. Geelong could definitely thrash the hawks too. I think judging by tonight's performance from the Bombers we should beat them comfortably, but I wouldn't start getting ahead of ourselves and resting players. I still think each game is critical, and the Saints and Bombers...they have been two teams we have not had much success against recently.

Also, with Smith at 296 games and no certainty to play on next season, I doubt he would be rested, as if we win a final or make the top four he will get to 300.

Demon's could be the ones in big trouble if the Roos and Cats beat them with a last up game against Adelaide.
