Was it back when they'd won the first ten but had lost to the Swannies the week before?
Anyway it's a hoodoo breaking kind of year so bring it on.

Looks like those Dockers mauled them - any Saints injuries?
No injuries I don't think, but Milne did slap someone, might be rubbed out.
Be good to beat the Saints next friday if Gia is back for that game it will be his 100th and doggies always come up for these milestone games. winning the game against St kilda will give them lots of confidence as we head into finals.

Andrew Thompson, Jason Gram and Jason Blake all finished on the bench with soft tissue injuries. Nick Riewoldt struggled to run out the game, but may just have general soreness. Stephen Milne will have a few sleepless nights waiting for the judgement of the match review panel on his strike to the head of Jeffrey Farmer.
Unfortunately Fraser Gehrig did not spit the dummy and belt his opponent, despite hardly getting a kick.

I remember that game in 2004 at the "G". Lenny Hayes, that year's captain started on the bench for the Saints and i think some of the doggies took it as a lack of respect for them, not that they should need any more incentive to win a game than normal.
The last couple of times we've been close to them at times, but they've pulled away especially towards the end of quarters. This is certainly something we need to make sure doesn't happen again.

I saw the incident involving Milne and i'm pretty sure he'll have no problems as he used an open hand in a slapping motion and will only be laughed at, not suspended. :p

Didn't Pat Bowden score a great goal late on to seal it?
Ah Patrick, how we miss your 2 or 3 moments of magic per season;)

I take it your wink means you're taking the ****....
It was more like 2 or 3 in his entire time on our list.

Nah! It was his gutsy, never say die attitude and reckless attack on the ball that we miss.

Careful now. We don't want Richmond supporters coming in here and telling us that he "Nearly" kicked 4 goals in the 1st quarter against us.

I like our chances this week if we can play as hard as we did last week. That however remains to be seen...I'm hopeful though.
Yeah just a bit of trivia - since the start of 05' (the Eade era) we've beaten every team in the comp apart from
- Swans (barely counts because we always play there)
- Saints
....we've given the sainters a very good contest the last 3 though
