View Full Version : Adam Hartlett
Where is he at, he is taking a while. Will he be dropped at seasons end, or will he be given another year. Question for those who have seen him play in the twos, has he the potential to make it in AFL???
At least you made it clear you havn't seen him play... there is no chance Carlton will offload Hartlett.
Injuries aside i am fairly confident he would of played a learning role in our defense this year. He has alot of potential to become a good solid defender.

I have seen him play alot and i just hope Carlton fans don't think his going to step into the side next year and hold down CHB. Also for all those people saying they should just play him because his a kid, should go watch the Bullants play and they will find out that he is about the sides 4th tall defender so i can't see him earning a game for a long time yet.

Sadly in todays cut throat nature of football you would have to say he has got 1 year tops to prove himself, honestly i have seen him once. I don't have time to watch the Bullants and Blues on the weekend although it seems i have been watching the wrong team go around for the last 20 weeks.
And at least the Bullants play on Saturdays!

The kid will make it, I have no doubt of that, if he is given the opportunity. We must be patient with him.
Really unfortunate that the majority of the 2 years he has spent at the club he has been injured. Will need plenty of time, and if we are willing to give it to him he will reward us. Has heaps of heart and skill-remember his awesome preseason, devastating he got injured. Will be very big once he is fully matured, and I am convinced that come midway through season 2007, possibly even earlier in the season he will be our starting FB.
Gun. Just you wait, am really excited by the prospect of big Harts. Already one of my favourite players, just needs to get the runs on the board, but they will come eventually.

 What would you know d*ckhead. If Hartlett can get a decent go with no injuries he will make a very good CHB/FB. All you have to worry about is that that chicken hearted mob of yours finally do something in this year's finals rather than pooncing around in front of the Freemantle crowd trying to look like footballers and perhaps win a final at last - that's presuming they make it:thumbsd:

How can you have seen him play a lot? He missed all but a handful of games last year due to injury and has barely played half a dozen this year. Please elaborate on where and when you have seen him play. He had one outing in the seniors this season, in the NAB Cup, playing on the alleged second coming (N Ablett) and totally outplayed him. Let's wait until he has had a full season of football before anyone passes judgement on him, but if that NAB Cup game was any indication, he will do alright.

from all reports he sounds alright and will help or backline a bit. Does Adam hav a brother calledHamish Hartlett who is also from SA as he is in the AIS-AFL squad. Pg72 of carlton v richmond record.
I've only seen him play once, and that was in the practice match earlier this year against Port Adelaide at PP. He certainly played well that day, and showed some signs that he will be able to hold down a key defensive post in the years to come.
Unlucky with injuries, so he needs a solid preseason under his belt over the summer.

Thanks for the update. Would really like to see him and Bower progress into the senior team next year.

To be fair yes he has only played 6-7 games this year which i have watched all but 1. so have you actully watched him play? he has trouble making contests and spoiling his man which might be because of his injuries but i think if he was going to be a star even though he is still young he would have shown alot more then he has by now. by the way i am not saying he will not make AFL im just saying don't get too far ahead of yourself. Bower seems like a good player to me mainly because his a bit better of an athlete then Hartlett but just needs more time to put on some bulk and play a little more respect to his man imo.

I think he's considered to be a young gun because he's made the AIS academy and it'd be great to get him over to play with Adam. :)

What the hell is with all these Sunday matches we have .... just ridiculous
