Yeah the saints game is the difference between 6th and 8th and a home game and maybe an interstater. GO DOGS
its very possible geelong will beat melbourne too, leaving us in 5th and playing against the saints.

I'm pretty much certain any/all Victorian finals this year will be played at the MCG, particularly considering there are likely to be no more than 3-4 finals (inc Grand Final) in Victoria

No, that is not definetly the case.
Telstra Dome has an agreement that if there a 2 finals in Melbourne in the 1st week, then they are entitled to have one of those games.
In the past, Telstra Dome has forgone that right in place of a guarantee of more or better home & away games in the following year.
So, in summary, if 2 finals in Melbourne in week 1, Telstra Dome has the right to host 1 of those finals.

The saints game is the one everything hinges on.
If we beat them we should play Freo (at the dome one would suspect)
If we lose, we end up playing them in the first round of the finals (probably at the dome too).
