Just had confirmation that Wiggins has fractured his eye socket and regardless of whether he gets off at the tribunal, won't play another game this year.

Bad luck to Wiggo, was starting to look like a player. Always liked him....gives 100% all the time.
You would have to say that he's saved his spot on the listed for 2007?

He is probably safe largely due to the fact that there are so many others that need to go before him...........Wiggo is probably a back up player on a good team to cover for the inevitable injuries. He has improved markedly this season though.

That's bad luck for him. He's shown enough to hold his spot for next year, imo

Have it from a good source that he will be traded, or atleast offered up for a trade. Hope he stays though. Will be more than just a back up player next year, if given the chance.

That's terrible news for Wiggo. Hopefully he'll be right for the start of the preseason and he can continue with his good form next year.

agree...........you must have missed the bit about being only a back up player on a good team.

Ha Ha, yeah sorry, I forgot we're talking about a Carlton player here.

Bad luck for Wiggles-anyone have a link for confirmation?
Has really stepped up for us this year and has proven himself to be a servicable player-has below par skills but he more than makes up for this with his heart and endeavour-one of the hardest triers out there all the time and for this he is to be commended.
I think he has definitely done enough to warrant a spot on the list for next year at least. Look forward to seeing him back in action for the Navy Blue in 2007.

I'm not sure if his safe or not for next year. There are a few to go before him, but if it comes between Bannister and Wiggins to go, I choose Wiggins to leave.

I think Wiggins has done enough to stay on the list, in front of him would be Bryan and Raso i feel. After these players.
Longmuir, Prenda, Sporn, Davies (most likely) Chambers, Livo
The other possibilities for delisting would come out of Mgrath, Raso (not sure what we will do here, Bryan and Wiggins i guess. Having said that dont really want to see any othese these 4 to be delisted.

Raso???
You have got to be bloody kidding me!?!?!?!?!?
Why the hell would we delist Raso???????????????
Wiggins is safe. Far too many to go before him for him to even come into consideration for delisting at the end of the year.
Bryan should stay, has shown great signs and it would be painful to see him go.

Agreed. There are PLENTY who I would delist before him. He is definitely safe for 2007 at least. Has actually been pretty good since he has come into the team this year-looks to be a pretty handy player.

You still want to trade Wiggo for Dawson don't you.
Not gonna happen. Read the threads about Bower and Bannister?Ohailpin. We have got plenty of young tall backmen who don't perform well, why would we want another?

Obviously I wasn't being serious with that trade offer. I have seen both play and Wiggo ****es all over Dawson in every aspect of the game. However, if we could get Wiggins for a good price I wouldn't hesitate to welcome him to Hawthorn.......He was a Hawthorn supporter before he was drafted.;)
now he plays for the blues ;)
i'd consider trading wiggins for dawson.

Wiggo was interviewed at a Carlton Optus train with the team night. He could be a comedian, he was so funny. He even sang a song over the entire ground PA
