well done on his 200th...gee its come quick but with the article on afl.com.au, it says he will be one of the greats to don the Navy Blue. Not sure if its the right thing to call him, yet...
not many finals games, no flags....thoughts?

If Pagan played him at CHF every week he could be one of the greats. CHF is his position.

That has come around very quick, and i'm not that sure he can be called a Carlton great, when you consider some of the great players that have gone before him.

He is a talent, there is no doubt about that. I just think that he has rarely given himself a chance to show what he is really capable of becuase of his continual battle to keep his weight down.

You look like your carrying a few kilos HBF. Definetely not a great. Its been a while since we have had one of them.

God.
I think that is the second time i have agreed with you this week stokesy. I have had a bit of a cold so that could have had some blurring in my thinking.
Would love to see Lance full time at CHF, he could easy kick 50+ goals a season, he is doing a good job at the moment filling a hole in our side which in a way proves his versatility, but at CHF he could really carve his own name into the CFC history books.

Would also love to see that, with Waite playing in defence (as alluded to by Pagan). That would mean a forward set up of Fevola, Whitnall, Kennedy, Fisher with Betts and other smalls doing the crumbing. Whitnall would need to spend a fair bit of time closer to goal as he is still one of our best contested marks. Opposition teams would be less likely to double team Fevola if they know Whitnall is lurking nearby. There aren't too many teams with 2 quality defenders able to cover both Fev and Lance.

At this stage , NO
Ever, probaly not

I wouldn't even rank him in the top 50 carlton players , it probaly be closer to position 100

Lance imo definitly is as skilled as most of the greats at Carlton. I am not sure if he has performed as yet to place him amongst the greats however. I think he has been almost as good as Maclure already and 1-2 more close to AA seasons would have him in the best 22 of the last 30 or so years.

Feel he is best served either forward or across HB. He has been sacrificed a few times playing in the last line.
