I see us being short one key forward and up one nothing particularly useful.
Aside from that, if it were up to me, I would put a 5 year embargo on us trading with the Kangas.

We'd be swapping one puzzled look for another puzzled look.

We're a young side that realistically is a couple of years off being a top 4 contender, by then Makepeace would be almost 30. Youth policy all the way on this one I'm afraid. Makepeace has done very little this year (from my limited knowledge on the Roos), certainly not enough to warrant seeking him for anything other than a 5th Round pick plus
nah I think White's shown enough to be kept, unless we get a suitable trade. And i don't think Makepeace is a suitable trade.
If we're looking at someone almost 30, they better be good :)

if white is to go then wa would be his preferred option.
that being the case sam butler or beau waters would be handy

We've already got enough half back flankers for 3 sides - we don't need another one

No.Whitey has shown signs of improvement before getting injured and deserves one more go before we arrive at any decision (trade or delist)

Now way
No way at all. No comparison between them. Makepeace is average and getting on. White is average but with more potential, young and a key position player. Makepeace is dime a dozen, plus he has that barb wire tattoo which probably one of his most regrettable decisions he's ever made.
Would West Coast swap butler or Waters for him? Hmm

HA! it is one of the worst tats going around.
Indeed, the only good tat in the AFL is Croads ;)

West Coast would not trade Waters or Butler for White.

Get bent!!
I'm not adverse to trading White but not for Makepeace. We'd want a half decent, younger midfield type, not another half back flanker, we've still got the choice of holding onto Walsh, who i'd consider a better prospect for next year than Makepeace.
At Makepeace's age I wouldn't want him if the swap was for Dew or Thurstans. Short of being offered the likes of a Lloyd or the like we'd be crazy to grab anyone over 25. *
* That's not to say I'm not half-expecting Choco to grab a 25+ tall defender of average ability from another club, claiming our young guys need more time to develop. :(

So who wants to be the one to posit trading Adam Kingsley for Hamish McIntosh on the Roos board?

I'd take up the offer Porthos but I've seen 28 Days and I just don't know that I'm up for it ... ;)
Meanwhile, Laidley has upped Makepeace's value by dumping him for the Hawthorn game :thumbsu:

Bit off topic but how about Stuart Dew to Freo for Graham Polak? Polak hasn't done a lot in his career of late I must admit. But has a hell of a lot of potential as a key forward in particular. If you look at the games he has played this season, he has played them mainly as a key forward and taken a fair amount of marks...
Freo could do with a classy outside wingman type who could deliver the ball long inside 50 to Pav, Murphy or McPharlin.
Thoughts?

Too late. On the Roos Board - I couldn't help it, I was going to put up the Kingsley for McIntosh trade - I was distracted by the Harding for Dew near done deal ...

Hahaha aaaah man. Those wacky Roos.
Hahaha aaaah man. Those wacky Roos.
True.I couldn't see us trading anyone for the oinker one.As for White, one of your good buddies attempted to pull a White for Petrie fairytale, speaking of wacky. ;)

I reckon there's a chance you would've taken a White-Petrie trade at the end of last year.
It would be at least three or four years since Makepeace might have had any merit to be brought up in any kind of trade talks.

Makepeace is finished. Is barely respectable for Tasmania.Game has passed him by.He only came in last week because Archer didn't come up.Will be lucky not to be de-listed let alone traded.Somebody would pick him up, but it would either be for a mid to late pick or as part of a package deal.
What about fatty Dew to Collingwood for Tarrant?

What Schlez said.

I hate all tattoos, but it certainly shouldn't be a factor in who we sign!
What about fatty Dew to Collingwood for Tarrant?
The Pies would want Dew plus our first and second round picks. And then they'd moan and bitch we were raping them.
The best chances of offloading Dew are to Essendon (since he plays his best against them) and Richmond (since Wallace likes a fleet of smalls).
