Anyone know how to watch the Hawks in the UK? I have Sky at my shared house but they don't seem to show live games...does anyone know how to get them live at home or know of any pubs which are Hawk friendly?
Cheers

As far as footy in the UK goes, you are stuck with a weekly Sky Sports programme as your only option. Every Friday evening there is a 2 hour show which shows 75% of 1 game from the previous weekend (you never know what its going to be until the programme starts), and then 2 minute highlights of all the other games from that round after the main game finishes. You can't get Hawks games, live or otherwise, anywhere unfortunately.:thumbsd:
The only way you can get to watch the Hawks every week is if you watch the delayed coverage on the computer through the AFL site - for this you need to pay a subscription.
Wish there was better news - I certainly wish I could see the Hawks live every week, or even once a year!

Thank you international Hawks.
A question: Is our club not just taking over Tasmania but also the world? :)

I think there are a few pubs that replay all the games. The pub outside Fulham Broadway tube used to and probably still does.

Yes and now we demand some home games to be played at Lords.
Surprised you London boys don't get the Australia Network (old ABC Asia Pacific). Here in Taiwan, we get 5 games a week. Fri, Sat, Sun night, as well as Sat and Sun lunch. Digital TV and Satellite TV both carry the network.

You will be waiting a while. Hawthorn are terrible about making strides into international footy. It isn't even on the radar.
I contacted them a few times about trying to get them to support the setting up of new Hawks teams in expanding English and Scottish leagues. Not even interested, which is strange as it could open up the Hawks brand in new markets for them...
Interestingly, Collingwood and Essendon are ultra-keen on this front. And who would happen to be the most well-known AFL clubs internationally??

Played football when I first went to London (the now defunct Earls Court Roos). There was a team in Hawk colours IIRC it was the Wimbledon Hawks. If I were Hawthorn I wouldnt have wanted to be associated with them either.
I think from memory that an enterprising pom from the team I played for dropped in at Arden St on his hols and convinced them to give us jumpers, shorts and socks.
