Woot, I'm in 'Other'!!! I see here as 'East Asia' rather than 'SE Asia'
but maybe I'm just being pedantic

I've been living in SE Asia for nine years and have not been a member for that time. Prior to moving I had been a Hawk member for almost forty years. Fortunately we get good AFL coverage via ABC here - 5 games a week - but unfortunately the Hawks don't get much air time at all. Haven't seen a Hawks game for three weeks and doubt if there'll be another one this year.
Now I'm having a problem with my Bigpong subscription, and can't get the videos. Haven't yet seen the last two great victories. Does anyone know the the link to the telstra streaming that shows the games? I need to see us destroy the blues and gliders.
THanks

Coolangatta, Queensland.
As a republican, I dislike the state name of Queensland. After all, the state of Tasmania is soon to be renamed Hawthorn :).

You mean the Telstra Bigpond Replays?
They are at www.afl.com.au
Here is a link to the actual replay videos -

Hope that helps mate.
To answer the thread, I'm a Queenslander from Victoria. Great weather, Crap sports! Now Fox Footy is closing, if Fox 3 doesn't sign a deal with cahnnel 7/10, im screwed :thumbsd:
Out of interest who else is from QLD?

That makes 3 Queenslanders, but Gary, although I don't really like 'Queensland' for a name of a state.......A Republic, you gotta be kidding :p
But thats a topic for another forum.......

Thanks Illnino,
That's the site that I can't access even though my sub is current until Feb 2007. Bigpond can't seem to fix the problem.
Someone from Hawksheadquarters - before its demise - advised a telstra streaming site which was far superior to bigponds. Has all this years games, but I can't find it now. Help anyony?
HAWKS for Premiers 2010,11,12,13.

At the time of this post, there were 7 Hawks from Victoria, and 14 from other parts of the universe. No wonder we don't get huge crowds, our supporters are too far away to attend :)

If it makes you feel any better, it's no better in Adelaide :)
In what part of SE Asia do you live? I'm almost envious, I really enjoy Asian people.

I spent three weeks in China and almost went mad for the lack of footy. Though they did show some games on the Asian ABC channel, it was still hard going knowing my Hawks were playing and I wasn't there.
God, I need a woman.

Hobart at the moment, soon to be overseas which is a little annoying that the team seems like gathering momentum and I wont be here for to see it for a while.
I think I can still watch the games on Bigpond though, but it wont be the same.

Proud to say that I am. I'm 1st year international member.
I'll not get to a game anytime soon (although have been in the past), but no matter, its all about supporting your team.

I've never actually been to a game and have only really been following it from overseas (mostly on TV and naughty BT downloads of games, which I watch on my PDA on the train to & from work)...
Would love to get to a real game one day though... is it a real buzz?

There are those who would say that not having been to a winning Grand Final game, I have not lived.
But you sir, have not yet been born!
You've spent some time in Australia before, right?

Went to my first game since i was 9 the other weekend (Vs Bris at the GABBA).
It was Bloody Awesome!
I'm now 21, so it was a while between games due to the fact I moved to Queensland and was 5-6 hours from the Gabba. I'm now in the heart of Brisbane and I won't be missing another game!
We didn't even win, although we came close, and I still loved it! - Probably also due to the to some FINE female hawk fans I just happened to get a seat next to ;)

But if i had been born, I would've lived, right? I mean those anti-abortion people'd are even claiming that a 'person' had lived even if 'it' had never been born!
Thanks for opening up a philosophical can of worms for me... :p
but yes, I had spent SOME time in Oz in the past, but i was younger then, and was more of a cricket fan... i DID catch the 91 GF on TV though... but i guess i was too young to understand the game. Now that i am able to appreciate it a bit (a lot) more, I'm stuck here... that's life i guess...:(

I am from Melbourne originally. Born in to a Hawks family. Love the club, have volunteered for the club in membership and Box Hill Hawks statistics and would die for the club! Would love to see a few Hawkers about for the London game port ferals v pussy cats decked out in Hawk gear (I have my guernsey here anyway!)
Cheers
Russ
