Logical changes.

Wojcinski should never have been dropped in the first place.

Will Nab play at CHF? I reckon Milburn might be played there. Who else could?

Why not? Just because he can run?

It is good to see Nath back, however I would've also liked to see Gamble get a run. Sure he is up and down, but damn is he going to rock the place if he gets a chance.

Wojak is great also, his form is exceptional after coming back from a knee injury. He will be an awesome player for us next year, the drive and tacklebreaking ability he has will further lift our backline.

Anyone's thoughts on Gamble ?? Going to the VFL pre-game this weekend to check this kid out. Sitting in Canberra only gives me an opportunity to read the posts about him, and stuff on the VFL site.

Because he breaks the lines like no other Geelong player.

Should give him a go since Bomber has given up on the finals and it wouldnt do any harm.

Fantastic to see Nathan playing... I just hope Kelly or Kingsley don't play 1's for the rest of the year.

Cats by 28 points.

Kingsley as emergency? Meaning he most likely won't play at all? That's not how I'd play a man I wanted to trade.

Big deal... we should be selecting players to win matches and selecting players who have a future at this club (i.e N.Ablett), not because it might boost their supposed trade value. Besides playing Kingsley in the last two games is hardly going to see clubs rush in and offer us their first round pick for him. The best we'll get for him, if we're lucky, is a late 2nd round pick and that isn't going to change in the next two weeks regardless of whether he plays in the seniors or not.

Think those inclusions work for me. Hopefully NA can show a little bit of the form he's supposedly been displaying in the twos, and Wojcinski will be handy - still can't quite figure out why he was dropped. We need more players with his kind of attitude and workrate.

happy with those changes. hope nath has a fantastic game. and woja is exactly what we need for this game. in fact we need him in every game i dont understand why they drop him. stupid selectors.

Unfotunately Nathan is still easily scuttled - has great promise but does not have the strength to hold his ground - hopefully they will not ask Ottens to give him advice on this matter - he spends half his time sprawling like a giraffe under attack.
Question - why hasn't Moons been trained to tackle with the hand open and not the clenched fist - advice from a coach at a rival club which would love to have him - interesting remark.
We can and should roll Melbourne!

From what i hear Ling is injuried and may not come up for the game Young Gamble will be his inclusion. I hope this is the case heard a lot of good things about this kid.

About the only logical or reasonable changes we've had all year.

Would have preferred King out and Blake in on top though.

I mean yeah, Jeff White is a gun, but the kid has to learn sometime and clearly he's too good for the VFL.

Can Nathe play CHF though?

I'd have him play HFF with a lesser backman for confidence

I also hope Gamble gets a go....I'm not happy at all about the delelopment of the youngsters at all this year.

Realistically the season is already blown, play Ablett for the last 2 games and just let him go.

How many talls will you play up forward? You named Ablett and Ottens, but will someone like Harley or Milburn get a run up there at all? Just looking at our side and if Rivers doesn't come up, we don't have a logical replacement for him, meaning Holland and Carroll will be our only talls down back.

Should be some good matchups too, especially Gary Ablett Jr. and Matty Whelan, always a good one to watch!

Doesn't matter how many we play, If the Cats minds are right they won't be losing this 1

But thats the big question........will they be on thier game??

Interesting suggestion that - you would say their minds have been AWOL for most of the year, yes?

Then if that's the case, why bother really getting it right for a Round 21 game that essentially means nothing to the GFC?

But then I could say that if we really come to play then we won't lose either, but every supporter says that about their club.

Yeah, but is CHF his position, or is it FF?

I would've thought the latter.

I agree, but it seems they want Ottens in the goalsquare. Certainly with Mooney out you would think Ablett will be further up the ground.

N Ablett has been playing quite well at CHF for a lot of this season in the VFL. He has demonstrated good mobility and excellent disposal by either foot. I watched him at Casey a few weeks back and I'm beginning to think that's his best position.

NAblett at CHF will only work if:

a. He leads hard and leads often towards the ball carrier; and

b. The ball carrier consistently honours his leads.

I have my doubts about both.

N ABlett 10 marks and 19 Posessions from CHF last week, as we know the season over, leave him there for the game, just to see what its like, so next year after a complete pre season he might just make the position his. ( If he has the heart.)

Interesting to note that for an AFL listed player to compete in the VFL finals they cannot play any more than 8 AFL games throught the year. Nathan plays game no. 6 this week while Kent has already played 8. Another words don't expect to see him in the seniors next week, regardless of how many he kicks this weekend.

A player can play 12 AFL games and still qualify for VFL finals,as long as they've played 6 VFL games [NA & KK qualify].

I thought I heard Phil Cleary say otherwise during the last Geelong match telecast on the ABC but can't be sure.

Good to see Nathan back in the side.

A solid preseason and a bit of bulk over the summer should see him develop further.

CHF should suit him a little better than FF until he does put some weight on and can hold his own. Hope he kicks a bag this weekend.
