I don't normally make such bold predictions but what the hell :thumbsu:

I have got a feeling this could be our biggest win of the season becouse,

1. Team confidence would almost be at it's highest after a couple of wins.
2. Our youngsters collectively are all playing their best footy now (last few weeks) as are our older players Crawf, Dicko etc in season best form.
3. The Kangas are clearly tanking resting Grant and Simpson. pathetic. Also doubts on Wells.
4. The games in Tasmania.
5. An unchanged line up always helps.
6. Trent Croad will hold Thommo to 3 goals or less
7. Hawthorn generally greater then the Kangaroos. :D
8. We have BUDDY.

i'm off to place a bet Hawks by 60+

GO HAWKS :)

Must say, love you confidence, but I think only 2-3 of your points are truely valid........

I'm fairly confident we'll win too, but, it is the Hawks we're talking about here.....Many Youngsters = Many possibilities, good or/and bad.

Onya mate. At least it's a better chance of happening than the one I put on us to beat Adelaide a while ago! ;)

Threads like this seem to come back and haunt the OP, so I must say after reading it I am less confident if anything.

Just a bit of fun mate, i am glad you think i have so much influence over the game. If i really did the Hawks would never lose.

If anything it's a LITTLE dig at the Hawthorn and North supporters who think tanking is the way to go. :p

Herb said - "3. The Kangas are clearly tanking resting Grant and Simpson. pathetic."

Tanking? This coming from a fan of a club that has made manufacturing a position on the ladder to get access to prime draft picks, into an art form.

People in Glass Houses.......

I'm not that confident but the Kangas won't get beaten by 60+, they have too much pride for that to happen.

Have a look at some of my other recent posts on this board and you will see what my opinion is of tanking

And for what it's worth i agree alot of Hawthorn supporters do want to tank and it makes me sick.

Even without grant and simpson the kangaroos have probably been more consistently competitive throughout the season than we have. We have beaten carlton and essendon since round 5(?) - not exactly victories against great opposition. The kangaroos are always competitive against us - ill be mightily surprised if its 60+ points. End of season games are hard to predict as its so hard to gauge intensity etc - and after good showing mid season we have often dropped off a lot the next week. Will be an interesting one.

I'd beware the roos as they do have the wood over us. Having said that we should get over the line if gillham can nullify rocca and croady can shut down thomo. They dont have the previous classical midfield run and foward line potency that has killed us in the past. Eg King,Grant,Stevens and with Archer,Simpson and Wells underdone/injured we are a massive chance.

It'll also be a great chance for us to get a glimpse of a couple of possible draftee's in Reiwoldt and Thorp (in particular). Could anyone who is going keep an eye out on them?
