Anyone know what has happened with Xavier Ellis ? He was #3 draft pick in the 2005 Draft. All I remember is that he suffered a serious injury whilst playing football for his school but haven't heard anyhting since early in the season ...
Anyone want to give an update ?

He was last spotted at the MCG watching the Hawks belt the "rabble" formally known as Essendon.

Belt ? rabble ? 3 goals is a belting ? :D
and we were never going to win, its obvious we want a priority pick, normally we'd whip your clubs arse by 10 goals+ as wil be evident next season :thumbsu:

Ellis broke his ankle, played football for school and since then for Box Hill, starting to find some form from reports. Can't wait to get a preseason into him.

1. Hawthorn truly own Essendon, it's clearly obvious.
2. Ellis said last year that he would be concentrating on his year 12 studies and playing some games at box hill. It was always doubtful that he would play AFL this year. IMO, it's a good idea, ease him in, then play him next year, where he will be old enough and big enough to handle the pressures of football. We did it with Polo, and it has paid dividends.

Even for Box Hill against grown men he plays with his natural poise, and gets named in the best. The fact that it was an eachway choice for the Pies to go with Thomas or Ellis, and then how Thomas with his equally light frame has impacted games, it is a big chance for him to play Rnd. 22. Keep an eye out for him in 2007, but also B2 .................Beau Muston has slipped under the radar of many footy enthusiasts, he's already beefing up and he is rolls-royce material.

You just can't win can ya.
What makes you think Richmond will be owned in the future? Both sides have a very bright future, lets just look to the future instead of thinking of ownings. Richmond played terrible at Launceston this year, yes. But I hope that when we get better, we will never, ever play that woeful again.
But anyway, Ellis should be good next year.

It was a bit harsh. Anyway, look forward to the next time the Hawks take on the Tigers. I have a special interest in this match since my gf and her entire family are Richmond supporters, it's always especially sweet to get that win.
I foresee many great tussles between the Hawks & Tigers in the finals in the years to come.
The dons & blues on the other hand ;)

Played box hill on the weekend mainly across hb and the wing. Showed some poise on occasions but played very losely and was beaten on the day. Does not look as though he is fit enough for AFL yet needs a good preseason. He is a very good size though, comparisons to dal santo in traffic probably justified, early days yet though.
