Could Josh Hunt ever get the engine to play a role similar to Travis Johnson? Is that the only thing holding him back?

Given that they have very different builds - and a significant weight difference - it's unlikely that Josh could ever develop a huge motor. He could certainly attain a high level of fitness but he is so muscular - which indicates e's not designed for aerobic capacity. He would do better to model his game on Dew from Port Adelaide.

why the comparison to travis johnstone?

Hunt would have to drop about 25kg to play that Johnstone role. Not gonna happen.

Just choose Johnson because he is arguably the best outside midfielder in the league with great disposal. If Hunt got 25-30 posession across the center it would be devastating.

Yeah it would be. But Bomber has never really given him the chance. He has abit more latly though. Although he could never get that bigger engine maybe a pinch hittter in the middle and then go down on a flank for a rest.

I'd love to see Joshy build his endurance and become a midfielder. Very valuable.

yeah but he's built like a brick ****house so he's not suited to that sort of role unfortunately. shame because he is one of the best kicks in the league

Questioning Josh Hunt's heart and commitment is really pathetic. He always goes the balls and never takes a backwards step.

You clearly have nevver watched one of his games closely!

Sorry, but that's how I see it. And you don't have to watch too closely, unforunately.

What a load of rubbish... Take a closer look at the game as suggested, instead of reading into one incident blown up by the media.

Haven't seen too much football have you chief?
Josh has guts and a work rate like very few other players at the club. He's one guy i'd take into battle anyday. I'd take him a few other places too...

Lat week there was a half hearted effort and yesterday at least two. I'm not the only one that noticed - Triple MMM gave him third worst on ground.

And you listen to everything Triple MMM say?

I think he has had a really good year. I'm proud of him.

Actually I Never listen to Triple mmm - it was on in my friend's backyard after the game. I actually think WOG is pretty mean spirited. But I don't like half hearted efforts.

I would expect you to use another example extracted from the media... pfft.. Good advice = never quote MMM! How could you possibly rate Hunt as the 3rd worst on ground?? He was a very important play maker yesterday.. very influential, and was one of few who performed in the first half.

Eg.. Kingsley(doesn't require explanation), Wojc(unaccountable like often, dragged), Ottens(missed easy goals in tight game, beaten easily by opponent)... worst??

Lets hear about these 2 half hearted efforts then..

I don't particularly want to go on with this but you won't change my mind. I didn't rate him 3rd worst, they did, for being ineffective. KK was worst on the ground and they got that right. I'm disappointed with Wojcinski - both he and Hunt were dragged for being unaccountable, but will cut a little slack after missing last season. Ottens' ruck work got us back in the game, along with a few others.

As I said I don't listen to Triple MMm because I hate the music they play

Absolutely! Josh stands out, so if he makes mistakes, they're memorable. I rate this guy very, very highly.

Yeah, and MMM are the real authority on football aren't they? Wasn't there a game last year when a player was named in both the best and worst on the ground in the one game?

Here's a tip, Why not give him back #41, he seems to play better with it!

Once again Hoff I'm with you. Hunt made one horrendous stuffup against St.Kilda but aside from that his last couple of months have been pretty good. For me it's no coincidence we starting winning games once he got more of the ball, and importantly was driving it fast out of defence up the centre of the ground. Pretty solid game on Saturday I thought too.
