just heard from a source that it is a shoe in we will get Gibbs in the draft. But what i've heard is that we are going to give him 'Sticks' old number and his going to live with him for a few months/even a year. This is because apparently him and Gibbs dad are good mates. and coming from a close knit family the club are worried that we would want to go back home in a few years. So i guess its cya later livo. what could of been :(
(ps- just a side note in the draft where livo went pick 4, who went 5/6/7. Just so we can who we should of picked up)

I also heard the exact same thing from Chris McDermott ... so one would assume he is in the "know"

7 - Laurence Angwin
8 - Daniel Motlop
9 - Kayne Pettifer
We didn't miss out an superstar at least. Motlop and Pettifer would've been handy ... but missing out on either is nothing to get worried about

there all average players .. we got screwed 2 times , with laurence angwin at pick 7 aswell :@ .. grr!

We rookied Laurence Angwin ... Adelaide picked him up with Pick #7.
Thought we may have screwed them over big time with that - Laurrie definatley had some talent (and still does in the CFL).

We won't get Gibbs because Essendon will finish bottom after we beat Collingwood tommorow at the G :)

motlop would of been handy. then we would of traded him to port for salopek. get a another young mid with more game experience that the ones we got now

Let's hope that he treats the Sticks guernsey with more respect than Hamill did!

Good to hear that, seeing that most of the Carlton posters on BF want us to take Gibbs in the draft. I think it would mean a great deal to Gibbs if he was to be given the No. 4 jumper, given the close family connection.

According to Chris McDermott old man Gibbs is just as happy for Bryce to go to Carlton with Kernahan.

.... 15 other clubs missed out on Kerr aswell - so who cares.

who cares.... he's a gunnish midfielder... some people are like judd at number 1 st k, hawthawn missed out but 18 clubs missed out on kerr and he was runner up brownlow... WAHHHH I WANT KERR

Let's not bring up the issue of Carlton's shocking recruiting. We all know they missed out on a few gun players but we can't change the past. We recruited poorly and that's one of the reasons we are last. Let's just hope if Gibbs comes to Carlton he will become a Carlton great.
