Where does that put him in terms of an AFL call-up?

He signed a 1 year deal with the Magpies in a similar time last year. Just means that if he doesnt get drafted he will stay at the Magpies.

The little master loves it at Port Adelaide. Another lazy 6 goals today.:thumbsu:

Congrats Jezza. Glad to see that they got you to sign again for another 2 years.

Magic game today. Booted 6 against the double blues.

Read in the footy budget that he is the favourite for the magarey medal. 2 years straight. Lets hope for Jezza's sake that the tipsters get it right.:thumbsu:

Cheers. Yeah, I figured that was the case.

God, if anyone deserves a crack at the AFL, it's him. I'm convinced he's a better footballer than about half the blokes on AFL lists at the moment.

I reckon Jezza has stiff opposition for the Magarey this year. Inkster, Cicolella, Backwell, Archard and about 4 different North players should give him a run for his money this year.

I reckon he'll need to get some votes in these last two games against WWT and North to win it

Given the perennial speculation over JC in the AFL do you think any of those others you mention have AFL prospects (I'm an outta towner).

Id love to see Clayton wear a port jumper the the afl aswell. He deserves it. He is an absolute champion. Probably the best player playing footy atm that ISNT on an AFL list.

Inkster probably could have been given a crack a couple of years back. I think he'll be 28 next year so hes probably not gonna get looked at. Cicolella tried and failed at AFL level and is too slow. Backwell is quick enough but not big enough. Wouldnt get the space hes allowed at SANFL level, nor would he be the no.1 go to player. Archard is decent enough.

JC's bought a house here and has a good job in SA and he's involved with some development or mentoring of youth program, it would take a bit to get him out of SA.

Who'd you rather have on our list Walsh, Kingers or JC?

I don't think you'll get too many differing opinions with that choice.........:D
