I don't know if it made the herald sun but over here an article states Port are interested in Solomon. It goes on to talk about his contract dispute etc.

i personally dont think essendon will get rid of solomon - if a deal was to be done salopek would be a god swap but i think port fans wouldnt agree on that one?? would they

No Way Jose !

If we were to trade it would be from the likes of DeLuca, Ezard, Thurstans or our third round pick (about 38)

I would have thought the 1 year contract deal for Solly woul dhave stopped the morons even talking bull**** about any trade.

He can't go to port, he's already been signed to the Lions for Aker hasn't he?

Yeah, that Shaun Burgoyne is a hack of the highest order. Be lucky to get a game for Bendigo reserves. And don't start me on the Cornes boys or Pearce.

It wouldn't be an off season without someone moving from Essendon to Port in some capacity so i'm not shocked.

Didn't call any of their players hacks. I was responding to a post mentioning the likes of Deluca, Ezard, Thurstans and pick 38...none of which are as valuable as Solly. I'd rather keep Solly than trade him for Salopek too.

Salopek is very good, i'd trade Solly for him in a heartbeat.

Yep, it would be robbery.

It would be an early Christmas present if Solomon was off loaded to Port.

I second that, unfortunately it's just pipe dream stuff.

I thought Solly played one of his better games for the season last night.
Not great by any means, but an improvement

I reckon every year there is a link from us to port about a player trade. Last year Mark Johnsons name was being thrown about, I'm sure there was one the year before as well.

I cant believe people even remember him, i dont even know what happened to him. I'll assume he was delisted, as I dont think he would have been traded.

Port drafted him the year we delisted him, they then delisted him after one year and rookied him. He was then delisted again.

Spent most of his time at Port injured.

most of u morons & dreamers have forgotten how good a player soloman, was & still is, his las few yrs have been ruined by injury. i ca tell u that he won't be going any where next yr coz we don't have any one with his size down back for for starters, & he & most of the players on the list have has bad yrs. so why he he singled out, ill admit he doesn't have the best skills in the side but at least he shows agression, determination unlike several of the otherplayers of the side

Essendon's never regretted trading an enforcer to Port before. EVER.

How about learning to construct a sentence, before calling your fellow Essendon supporters "morons" for having a different view to yourself!!!!

Soloman and our priority pick or 3rd pick if were lucky for Salopek would be a good trade.

Highly Fanciful though

maybe a three way trade involving Brisbane and Aker

Arsene Wenger
29 Aug 2006, 18:48
Pretty fanciful

I dont mind Solomon at all but there is something about clubs not wating to offload any one young who is decent for an older player

I doubt Salopek will leave regardless

We'd lose more than a lot of people think if we traded Solomon. Johnno's not the nut case he used to be, and after him there's a long patch of daylight to our next toughest player (probably McPhee).
