Carlile had a dirty day, had a few kicked on him in the first half by Hargreaves, then was shifted onto Alleway and conceded a couple more - five for the half if Alleway's lunatic outburst before half time into Carlile's face was anything to go by. Was much tighter in the second half.
I was impressed by Josh Thewlis from South, who was one of the SANFL players Port had out at training, before the AFL slammed the door shut on that little enterprise.

Thewlis was on Sydneys list for a couple of seasons and then on North Melbournes rookie list if i remember rightly. First season out of the AFL loop for him.

I called this on Friday. He was not really helped by his midfield who wasted alot of ball and allowed North to control the game and continually pump the ball into the forward 50. His 2nd half was much better but by then the horse had bolted.
FAir chance that Deluca will be at the Magpies next year as he's not happy at Sturt. Also fair chance Eckermann will be delisted.
